  1996 gmc sierra 1500 350ci automatic. Shifts through all gears great with no hesitation, noise, vibration, etc. Problem: if you floor it for rapid acceleration to pass or whatever, you can hear the tbi open up and fuel dumps in, but it actually SLOWS down....it will not "drop down" into overdrive.   I recently bought a 1996 GMC Sierra 1500 with 240k that runs great, but needs a little work. One issue I am trying to solve is that the vents only work on defrost. I don't hear anything when I switch it to the front vents or any other setting. What could this be caused by? Is it the AC control head or something else under the dash? More importantly, I have ...   I have a GMC Sierra 1500 4 wd extended cab pickup. My blower motors were working fine. I shut them down when I parked the truck. I left again approx. 10 min. later, and there was no air blowing when I turned them on.
