You dont change any sensors until the go bad, when they do the check eng light will come on and will have a code set. As fare as the brakes are concerned, sounds to me like the rotors or drums are warped creating pulstation felt in the steering wheel. Have you ever resolved your starting issues? We have a 2002 Chevy Savana Van that won't start once or twice a day. Van is in great shape but is our work vehicle. If we follow you instructions above it starts every time. However we cannot wait 20 minutes everytime it won't start between jobs. Can't get it to do it when we take it in to GMC. Sounds like you may have warped rotors. They usually cause steering wheel vibration when braking hard. Have your rotors checked and turned, if necessary. In any case, don't wait too long before checking that shaking thing, who knows what it is Read More...

What things can I change myself to keep my Savana running properly.. I've changed spark plugs wires, airfilter.. are there sensors or anything else that i can do myself at the 60,000 mile mark? I've done the rear end and the transmission fluid. I'm going to try to do the power steering fluid. Also.. when braking hard.. something is wrong.. the steering wheel starts ... Read More...

Hi i just got a 2002 GMC Savana Extended Cargo Van with the 5.7L Engine. I have 3K on the Van and Have 2 Problems.
