Yes. The 02 sensor is located in the exhaust system (piping). Look for a large welded on "nut'" (located on exhaust pipe) with a couple of wires coming off of it. Just left work and while accelerating, a bad sound came from lower front area, sounded like a squirrel cage fan being blown with an air nozzle. Pulled over to check things out saw nothing. Then discovered no reverse, could drive foreward but second gear came in slow and at about 3200 rpm's. seems to be slipping the whole time while motoring. Any ideas what might have happened???

Okay . . . . I've done some research on S10 forums and I think I've got an answer for this one. When your hub lock out switch fails, it can fail in the vacuumed position. Air blowing out front vents only 2000 GMC Jimmy
The air on my Jimmy is only blowing out the front vents. The temperature is correct and I the air/defrost work - I can hear the compressor kick in when I flip it to defrost - but the air only blows out the front vents. I can move the control to all the positions but it's stuck blowing on the front vents. Any suggestions.

Yes rotor button is the same as cap & rotor...I'm showing my age. I did all the work I mentioned and 6 months later it was still acting up. I don't know about your situation, but my Jimmy didn't take too well to after market distributors. In March I put another rotor and cap on that I got at a dealership. It has been fine ever since. I did all that plus replaced the manifold gasket. What are you getting for a code. Mine was P0300 (random misfire). It's also possible that your oxygen sensors are causing your problem. I had to replace 2 of mine, both on the passenger side. After all was said and done I had to replace another rotor button. It runs like new now.

I have a 2000 Jimmy, 118000 miles. I keep getting a misfire code. Especially occurs if Jimmy sits for a day or longer. Bad misfire for first 5 minutes, check eng light goes on. Engine smoothes out after 10 min and next day light goes off. I have replaced plugs, wires, cap & rot, cleaned fuel injectors. Don't know source of problem, need suggestions.

Could be a blocked orfice tube. If the high side pressure builds, and the low side drops way down, I believe that is what is indicated. There are other guys here who are better at A/C than me, but I seem to recall that is the cause of your symptom.

Well I would take your truck in and have the battery and/or alternator checked. Most of the time its free at any battery facility. They could let you know within minutes if anyone of those are bad. For your 4 wheel drive, its hard to say. I would try to start with the first problem. With your 4 wheel drive being an all electrical engagement, begin with the simple first.

That sounds like your blend door motor is the problem. I have replaced it in troubleshooting my heater issues. On the climate control models this motor is located up behind your glove box. It can be replaced without removing the dash but takes a little patience to get it in. Cost me 80 bucks for one.

OK. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VACUME LEAK. THE 4WD SWITCH IS OPERATED BY ENGINE VACUME. IF THERE'S NOT ENOUGH VACUME IT WON'T CHANGE INTO OR OUT OF 4WD. FIRST THING TO DO IS FIND THAT LEAK. Okay, could be dealing with a couple of things here, but one that could be common is a bad voltage regulator in the alternator. If you are getting voltage spikes, or high voltage, you can shorten the life of the bulbs. Find a good voltage meter and check the voltage at the battery with the engine off, and then running. Thanks for the info. Funny thing is that I did that exact same thing two days before I received your comments. My acuator valve (switch) under the hood was gone. The way I tested it was I taped the two hoses (that go to the switch) together and went into the vehicle and tried the switch again. Worked like a charm. I have a 2000 Jimmy which did the same thing, First thing is look under the hood, in the middle of the fire wall is a vacuum switch, check and see if all the rubber hoses are connected and you do not have a vacuum leak. then check your push button cluster o your dash, mine was bad and needed changed out. Me Too! I just purchased a 1995 GMC Jimmy and have noticed surges at different speeds especially noticable while using the cruise control. That would explain the corrosion on the pins when I first purchased it with 70K miles. Before I replaced the pins and bushings about three months ago... I soaked the pins in MP (Metal Protector) an Amsoil product that I have used since 1978. Then I used Amsoil Synthetic Grease on the bushings and pins before I put them together. Look at where the water dumps from the door rain channel and you will get a good idea of what is happening to the bushings. Re-grease those little suckers every oil change and they will last a lot longer. All GM had to do was slightly tweak the door design to get the runoff away from the hinge pin and things would have worked out much nicer.

I just replaced mine... really needed done at 100K... but the door striker just now started hitting wrong.
