Nothing will happen. If everybody on here has filed a complaint like they should have, then something should have been done by now. For me, I had my instrument paney changed last year, paid $1700 @GMC in Houma, LA, brought them copies of all the recalls, filed my complaints, and was still told by them I was responsible for the bill. 04 Envoy blower motor resistor
It was the Blower Motor Resistor. Every part store has a so called OEM replacement that has a 7 pin male connector and a output to the blower motor, unfortunately My 2004 has a 3 pin connector and a output to the blower motor. I just had the same problem after having a thermostat changed, The truck would run fine until I turned on the heater fan switch, then it would stall. I cleaned the throttle body with a spray cleaner, and cleaned my MAP sensor then changed my air cleaner, now it runs and idles fine..Problem solved. Hope this helps. Same problem here and also a 2004. I noticed as it happens the oil pressure drops. It stops for a while after an oil change then about a month before I am due for a scheduled oil change it starts happening again. Dealership put on computer and could nothing.

The speedometer pegs at 120, and stays there even when the vehicle is stopped. The cruise control works when it wants to. yes this could be a fuel pump, what you should do is a fuel pump pressure test ,drive it with the pressure guage attach observe pressure when the car acts up at that point if pressure drop then it a fuel pump working intermittently, if pressure is still there then it may be relay or wiring check it out, if this helps

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy. Both low-beam hightlights went out. The high beams still work. I do think its the fuses, since I switched the low beam fuse with the high beam and still had the problem. Do you have any idea what it could be? Are "relays" the same as fuses? Thanks

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy and had the same problem. What worked for me was changing the headlight fuse. No more problems. Tip: the fuse is the same one for the fan...found that out by accident, but it solved my problem. Only problem i've had since i purchased the Envoy. ;)

I just purchased a used 04 Envoy with 24k miles. The radio had 2 lights out on it. As it was under warranty, they are replacing the whole radio, not fixing it. We also has a Chevy Venture 2003 van, it has the same problems, but is well out of warranty.

Pulsating Brakes
Had pulsating brakes on a 2004 GMC Envoy w/ 35999 miles on it. Dealer turned the two front rotors at no charge since vehicle was still under warranty. (I planned it that way.) Reused the brake pads which were still very good. Completely fixed problem. That was 9 months ago. I will turn in lease at 48K in the next 3 months.

I just bought a 2004 GMC Envoy. So far I love it, but I am having a problem and wonder if I could ask a question. Anyone heard of or know why the RPM would just drop while your driving. It usually happens when I am going between 40 and 55 mph. It just suddenly bogs down like I am running out of gas. Then it picks right back up.

2004 GMC Envoy with standard equipment wiper system. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there is a known problem. Sometimes the windshield wipers work, other times they don't. Sounds like an intermittent open somewhere in the wiring or the motor.

Quality is up !!!
www.strategicvision.com rated the Buick Ranier and the GMC Envoy 2004 models top in quality for the mid size SUV segment. The TB finished near the top as well. So, it seems that the bugs are being worked out quite well on the triplets. Hopefully word of mouth will help GM sell and recapture lost market share. Some good news for once. :)

Great truck, decent mileage. 6000 miles Best (straight hwy) 22 MPG Average (city & hwy) 17 MPG Worst (all city) 14 MPG Not bad, i guess, i love the inline 6 engine. Awesome, and smooth. But i wish that DOD was here now for GM midsize SUV's. I dont want full-size, but after switching from an accord, gas mileage is def hitting my pocket book. late.

2004 GMC Envoy Climate Control
I have a new 2004 GMC Envoy with the climate control package. I've noticed that (above 40degF), when I'm in non-A/C, non-dfrost type modes (manual, not auto) the A/C compressor still cycles. It doesn't seem to matter whether the temp. is set at 65 or 75. Is that normal? If it is, won't the compressor recieve a great deal more wear?

Hi all. Had my 2002 Envoy in last week for the anti-theft recall, and the service manager told me they upgraded the computers to the latest 2003 specs.
