I got a letter stating they will only pay 50% as well. My car is a 2005 GMC Envoy with around 80,000 miles. I think I will just trade this thing in. I have a 2005 GMC Envoy that I bought with 46K miles on it. 5 weeks after I bought it the gas guage went out, and I've been using the odometer as a gas guage ever since. The Envoy now has 108K miles on it. I've yet to get any response from GM customer service. I also just spent a ton getting the passenger side window switch diagnosed and repaired.

My understanding is that low mileage vehicles may be covered completely. Higher mileage vehicles up to 120,000 miles are paid 50% at dealership rates, according to a letter I got yesterday from GM. Also, on 9/10 a newspaper article says the fed is looking into the problem because it affects 3/4 million vehicles. Good luck.

where to begin!? Ok have 126,000 miles, problems started 3 yrs ago at 60,000. The headlights would just go off while driving at NIGHT. I had a Trailblazer company car and got very good service out of it. The first major repair was transmission at 250,000 miles, and gas mileage was pretty decent. My Envoy I bought used hasn't faired as well, and it's only got 90,000 miles. And the mileage is about 2-3 mpg less than Trailblazer. Took the Envoy to a local garage that the NAPA owner said would be a good shop. The Owner/Mechanic found out that my AC was low. Had 2.1 psi and needed to have 3.0. All checked out ok. Good luck. Spent 92 dollars.

I was so confident that i had the answer. My symptoms matched. I even jumped the wire and the a/c started working. I am pretty sure that was just coincidence. My a/c is still intermittent. Comes on cold sometimes. Last 20 minutes sometimes, 1 minute or not at all others. Really hoping for some answers. Hate to take it to the dealer. Any suggestions?

I spent a few hours on this and have it figured out. Very common problem. Here is an answer that I found that sums it up: An occasional problem on this vehicle is the failure of the A/C Low Pressure Cycling Switch. Sometimes the A/C comes on, then shuts off and only blows hot air. What is the problem? A/C Expansion Valve? Ambient Air Temp Sensor? A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch? Anyone have any ideas - Thanks Steve

Power but won't start...starter?
Went out to start my 2003 GMC Envoy and it wouldn't start. It made some static noises and the power came on but it wouldn't start. I think I have around 50,000 miles on it. I really haven't had any other problems with it. This is just inconvenient. Glad I still have my Civic!

DEFROST BLOWER ALWAYS ON/NO HEAT
My defrost is constantly blowing in my 2003 gmc envoy xl when I try to turn on any heat settings. The rear vents are not working at all and the floor vents are barely blowing any heat out. Any ideas on what the problem could be??

I just purchased a used 04 Envoy with 24k miles. The radio had 2 lights out on it. As it was under warranty, they are replacing the whole radio, not fixing it. We also has a Chevy Venture 2003 van, it has the same problems, but is well out of warranty.

Yes, it almost certainly is a blend door problem and, if you're lucky, it may only require some reprogramming. In any event, the fix will be covered by the warranty. C.B.

The blend door moves to direct air for the floor to the vents to the defrost, etc. If it's still under warranty, I would take it in.

MP3 CD Changer Added to 2003 GMC Envoy
I have added a cd changer to my 2003 Envoy with bose. I an accessory wire from the ignition. However when I turn off the car the changer turns off and the radio stays on for about 15 minutes. What wire can I tap off of to get my changer to stay on with the radio when I remove the key?
