I have a 1999 GMC Envoy with HID low beam headlights. One of the headlights went out and I was quoted the following “replace the Igniter which costs $657.00 per side and also the Ballast which costs $616.00 per side. Okay, how do you replace the fuel sending sensor? I have had this problem on our 1997 Chev Blazer, 1998 GMC Jimmy and our 2000 GMC Envoy. Each time we have a transmission worked on, it screws up the gauge. I spent $400 + to repair the Blazer and will not do that again. No we just check th odometer and get a fill up every 200 miles. Hi. I purchased an Envoy in February of 2003. From day one I have had problems. I requested a buyback in July just before 6 months of ownership (I am GMS and was considering trading at the 6 month mark but the dealer said the best they could do was $21k -- msrp was $35.5k so a trade was out of the question). I have an Indigo Blue SLT with the 1SH package that I ordered almost a year ago and took possession of last July. I do have the articulating front headrests. I'll bet you do too. Mine both will tilt forward at the top of the headrest, which I just love. I like to have the headrest right up against the back of my head while driving. I don't have my black books handy here, but the Envoy price looks a bit off. The Envoy of 1998 was the top of the line trim level to the GMC Jimmy...not a total different vehicle. Just as the Trailblazer was a trim level for the Blazer before the redesign. tim Read More...
