Horn beeps 3 times when unlocking using keyless remote

I just changed my battery on my 2005 GMC Canyon. Everything works perfectly except when I unlock the truck using the keyless remote, the horn beeps three times. It never did this before. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I tried disconnecting the battery and let it sit for 30 minutes. I tried removing the fuses for the power lock and horn. Nothing seems ... Read More...

I have a problem with mine as well well it idles rough, it surges wile driving like it is missing, then you start driving at about 55-60mph and it downshifts and the message center says reduce power engine over rev and it goes into limp mode. I called the dealership and ask them about it and they told me there was a service bulliten out why I never got a letter about it ... Read More...

Running an invertor can do damage to the old battery real quick. Thats why RVs with convertors run 6V deep cycle batteries that are made of charge/discharge and then if you let them go below 50% they become toast quickly too. Your lucky it hasn't got your alternator yet with all the drain on the battery makes the alt. run overtime. Read More...

Snaproll, You are describing exactly what is happening to my 2005 Chevy Col I5 Ext @ 72K. The problem is deep cycling the battery kills everything under the hood. I have changed out batteries twice now. First time was at around 55K when the original battery gave up the ghost, massive overheat and death.Second time was an 860CCA battery that lived about 6 months ... Read More...

hi i bought a 2005 colorado with 61,000 miles on it i had it 1 week then the motor wasnt idling right i brought it to chevy and they said there was a recall on all the 3.5 5 cyl motors they had to put a new cly head on it. so if you know anybody else that has this problem gm has to fix it for free 10 years or 100,000 miles on it at first they were trying to keep it quiet but they could ... I have a 2005 Canyon truck. While driving, the engine will shake violently, then a light will come in that states, "decreased power" will come on. Then the truck will stall out.
