Transmission upgrade
We bought 2010 AWD Acadia in Nov-2009 and it had 13 MPG in city and around 20 MPG on highway. It came with 2010 Acadia transmission program which used lower gear than necessary and engine RPM stayed around 2000 RPM or more regardless of speed. See my post #61 in this thread for details. Last part of my posting is missing. to speed is missing. Unfortunately these heavy SUVs never seem to achieve their posted city mileage. When tested under the ideal conditions in the lab, they do much better. My 2010 Ford Edge will only get 13 mpg in the city under winter conditions with a lot of stop and go. No I'm quite sure I know the difference between an Acadia and a terrain. It is shorter in height and length. We also haven't added onto our garage and I haven't gotten any bigger. The Acadia has not been redesigned for 2011 and the dimensions are the same between the 2010 and 2011. Dimensions for both years: Length 200.7" Height 69.9" (without roof rack) Width 78.2"

Oh, forgot, Also included in the lease in lieu of a security deposit for $500 we did the $599 lease protection plan that covers up to $5000 in damages, wear and tear, etc.

That's Ford's newest V6. It makes 265hp and is used in the similarly sized TX. What else would they use? The D37 is newer and has more torque and HP, or they could use an EcoBoost.
