Overall

The Acadia is an excellent multi-passenger vehicle with refinement and convenience in equal measure. If minivans didn't exist, these GM crossovers would be the first choice for a large family.

Dynamics

Dynamically, this is an astute multi-passenger vehicle. The only real letdown is its underachieving six-speed transmission, which is quick to shift into high gears and reluctant to downshift cooperatively.

Comfort

Exceptional isolation from wind noise. Well-thought-out cabin offers plenty of space even in the third row of seats.

Function

Ample cargo volume when the seats are folded. Interior storage for smaller items at a premium for a family-oriented vehicle like this one.

Design/Build Quality

Handsome exterior styling and no real misses inside aside from overly glittery chrome accents.

Family Friendly Three rows of seating and enough space to make them worthwhile, the Acadia is near the top of the heap among crossover vehicles.

Cargo Hauler Once the seats are folded, cargo space is expansive. Still can't quite match a minivan in this respect.

Comfortable The Acadia's calling card is its ability to perform many functions to a high level of success. Among these traits are its smooth ride quality and lack of wind noise.
