Review

Just drove to FL from NJ towing 2 jet skis. Mileage suffered but not a problem with acceleration and handling. Two guests that drove the car are selling their SUV and Caravan to buy one. Comfort was excellent and the interior space was great. I would highly recommend this car. The total mileage on this trip, towing and not was 5400 miles and not a problem. I would recommend larger mirrors for towing.

Suggested Improvements

More power if economy can be saved, and console in head liner when there is no sunroof

Review

Looked at quite a few SUV's, most did not look good, they drove or handled poorly, and majority had really bad gas mileage. Really like this SUV, looks good, handles well, gas mileage not bad at around 22 on road, very smooth ride. All in all, very pleased with the vehicle so far, great family car, especially for long trips.

Favorite Features

Rear bucket seats a plus, big storage area when seats are let down in back. Stabilitrac works great, handles well on road, V-6 has plenty of power.

Suggested Improvements

I agree with a previous rater that the sun hits chrome around the air vents, a killer on the eyes in sunny weather for front seat driver and passenger.

Review

Fantastic, smooth, comfortable, quiet. We had a 02 Trailblazer prior and it was a great vehicle but this Acadia is so much more refined. Love the dash color at night, fun to drive (but not quite as much as our 01 Corvette). Love the heads up, power rear gate, remote start etc. etc. The imports have nothing on this unit. It is a solid well built machine. You might get a little better mpg with a smaller eco-box but no other SUV this size will get better, I've checked.

Favorite Features

Everything about this vehicle is top shelf, The trani is smooth and precise (remember it's a 6-speed so you won't see a big difference between gears). GM has got this one figured out.

Suggested Improvements

We would all like to get better mpg but 22 highway isn't that bad.

I have 3 kids and this car works perfectly. Has the second row captains chairs and an aisle to get back to third row. Fair amount of storage if third row partially collapsed. Fun to drive, much cooler than a minivan. Love having XM radio and OnStar.

Favorite Features

Second row captains chairs, OnStar, XM radio, heated washer fluid (we live in the cold North)

Suggested Improvements

Needs a bit more pick up in the engine

Rides nice, drives easily. Love the XM radio with controls on the steering wheel. The OnStar gives you peace of mind. Lots of storage when back seats are down. It is everything I expected it to be.

Review

I enjoy driving the Acadia. My only faults with it is a few design issues with the interior. If you want to charge your phone you can't put anything in one of the cup holders in the front. Very little storage space as far as putting things away so they don't move around vehicle while driving, other than back only storage in between two front seats and dash board. I was shocked there was not in floor storage for headsets. I also has a few blind areas when driving hard to see if other cars are in lane on passenger side, perhaps it would help if you could sit up a little higher in the vehicle. Overall it is a nice car even with these few issues.

Favorite Features

I enjoy all the seats in it. I really love the heated seats.

Suggested Improvements

Move the cigarette light plug in or move the cup holders currently you can't use them both at the same time. I would add some type of storage for headsets and remote currently know place to put them. I would also figure out a way to get rid of some of the blind spots ex: looking over left shoulder.

Review

This vehicle is heads and shoulders better than the Yukon it replaced. Much more sophisticated, beautifully engineered, and a pleasure to drive. I specifically ordered bench seats to increase cargo capacity. It's huge. I've been driving GM vehicles for more than 40 years, and this is by far the best. Vehicle has a solid and steady feel to it. Interior is well laid out although small buttons take getting used to.

Favorite Features

Smooth and comfortable ride, great handling, all manner of interior creature comforts. Love the satellite radio. Observed mileage around 16 city, 18 mixed, and 21 pure highway. Not bad for a vehicle this size. Power is adequate...barely.

Suggested Improvements

Transmission is quirky at best, frequently upshifting and downshiting at unexpected times. The highest gear is very high, which leads to low rpms, low torque, and improved mileage. Should have been corrected for 08 but wasn't. Also I don't need annoying light for passenger air bag on or off.

I've had the truck for 3 months and I love it. Very comfortable, very roomy. The gas mileage could be better but not bad compared to other SUV's.
