heater hoses

Hi, I have 1996 Geo Prizm. with auto transmission, It has 93,000 miles. The problem is that after I drive a few miles(4 or 5) my brake pedal seems to get hard and my car will not accelerate, all my brakes are locked. I have a 1996 Geo Prizm LSI with tan leather "faced" seats. It just turned 104K miles.. great car without any mechanical issues. I have had this commuter car ever since 11,000 miles but now need to repair or replace the side bolster of the driver side leather seat because of wear (and a tear). Engine misfire

My 1996 Geo Prizm 1.8 tripped the Check Engine light yesterday. My friendly neighborhood AutoZone read the error code as "P0302 cylinder 2 misfire" & suggested plugs & wires as a remedy. 1) is that accurate? 2) what causes a misfire? 3) will it damage anything to run the vehicle before it is fixed? Heat not working properly

I have a 96 Prizm with 49K miles. Do Prizms have timing belts or chains? And when they should be replaced? Is there a lot of damage to the engine if timing belt/chain breaks down? Thanks for sharing info.

I bought a new LSi in 1996 and I have about 50K miles on it now and it hasn't given me a lick of trouble except for the knob on the temperature control busting off twice. I am just about to purchase a 1996 Geo Prizm. It has 48,000 mi,auto,ac and a sunroof. The asking price is $8995. Is that a good price? How much should I try to talk them down? Had a 1996 GEO Prizm, auto, 3-speed, mostly used by my wife (she drives little) on a 3 year lease. Just turned it in and these are the facts; Reliability: Excellent.
