Originally bought this car for gas mileage and had planned to keep for 3-5 years. I figured it was more of a throw away car to be used no longer than the 100,000 mile mark. Ten years later and 135,000 miles I am ready to restore this vehicle because it has been one of the most reliable vehicle I have owned in the last 15 years.

The convertable is fun to drive,
especially with the top down. The
milage has been about 33 MPG overall,
but I do a lot of stop and go. I have
had it over a year and it starts every
time (ODO says 57,000 but probably
157,000). It is a fair weather car
though unless you like to get wet as
water works its way over the top of the
window glass and on to your lap. It
also should be garaged to protect the
top. I was told that it would last
twice as long if I kept the car garaged.

I started using synthetic oil at 112000 miles, after oil changes every 3000
miles using Castrol GTX oil.
All oil filters and synthetic oil have been the Wallmart cheapo brands
because they are only on my car for 3000 miles.
Air filter changed at 15000 mile enterval, gas filter every 40000 along with
gas treatment every 10000miles, plugs every 18000, wires every 40000 with
distributor cap/rotor.Belts every 70000, timing belt/ gaskets every 80000
Struts every 100000 miles.Brakes lasted 130000 miles up front and 165000
miles in the rear.
The only repairs have been an oil pan gasket, muffler and altenator, all done
after 200000 miles.
