1995 Ford Windstar LX 3dr Minivan
We had a head gasket blow soon after we
purchased this vehicle used. Four years
later we've just recently had to have
the transmission rebuilt and the head
gasket has blown again. In addition to
this there are minor problems all over
the vehicle - inaccurate open door
warnings, interior lights that won't
turn off, seat adjustment knobs that
work only sporadically, pieces of
interior that have easily broken.
Constant maintenance needed on brakes
The exterior design was an improvement
over many of the minivans in the mid 90s.
dependability. I would most likely have
disregarded the cosmetic problems and
may have been able to live with sensor
problems but will never buy another Ford
until it's proven that they've improved
the design of the engines.
