Professional Appeal
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Wagon XLT 4dr Minivan (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I have had the vehicle about 6 weeks now, and I am very satisfied with the preformance it has given me in this time. The vehicle is used in funeral service, and it accomidates the need for what it was purchased for. The vehicle has a very professional look to it and it seems to get alot of attention by alot of people. I have of course a black vehicle with glass on the sides and rear doors. I have recently used the vehicle on a long over the road trip ( 10 Hours ) and the ride was "OK", I did not come out of the car with soar legs or a soar back, I must say it was comfortable.
Favorite Features
the shape is "cool". and I really like that the both side doors slide. and the rear doors may open extra wide if necessary.
Suggested Improvements
My only suggestios to the design of this vehicle. Of course for the purposes of my use, being funeral service, I would like to see future designs of the Transit Connect to be a bit longer in the cargo area. By at least 6 inches, that would make the vehicle much more useful for my need for spacce.

Good for most
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Wagon XLT 4dr Minivan (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
Have for one month. Good mileage, fun to drive and gets looked at everywhere I go. Needs more options for non commercial owners, like lifts and tie downs for handicapped persons, ramps that fold into and out of truck. More storage for driver and more in back.
Favorite Features
Size good for parking in city. Not so good for freeway. Overhead storage is great.
Suggested Improvements
Better and bigger console between seats.

Plenty of power
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XL 4dr Minivan w/Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
Had mine about 1 mo. Use it for a/c service, it is a fine vehicle, if you do not need a full size van this is perfect, 25 m.p.g, plenty of power, easy to park, very easy to work out of the back of it. Easy to load units in and out the whole rear of the van opens up. All around excellent service van.
Favorite Features
Large rear doors and side openings, fuel economy, excellent handling on the road at all speeds.
Suggested Improvements
bigger seats, better speakers

Want XLT with REAR SEATS
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XL 4dr Minivan w/Side & Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I test drove (50 miles)the Ford Transit Connect XL Van. I was hoping to get a XLT with rear seats during the car clunker program. I really liked the Transit Connect. It handled very good. I do not plan to use this for long trips - power was sufficient for my 30 miles and less trips. I plan to use this in my Craft/Show business. My 22x15x12 inch folding top boxes (24+ ) fit perfectly in the XL. I need this to be Parkway legal so rear seats are a must. NO information was available (online, at dealer, parts department detail sheets, booklets) if the seats can be removed. NO XLT's are available in my area to see rear seats. Now clunker program is gone I can wait using my Chevy Astro Van for now
Favorite Features
The XL without rear seat holds my 24+ boxes and display tables (6ft x 4ft x 4ft+ high almost the same as my 8ft x 4ft x 3ft Chevy Astro Van. Visibility with rear and side door windows is very good. Lot of storage above front windshield. Loading via rear doors and side doors is very easy+ cargo tiedown
Suggested Improvements
Only White XL Vans have been in dealerships - seeing other colors may help selling this. One foot longer would make this more useful for business use. Ford should have a website that can answer questions on new models. By the time XLT with seats is available Nissan may have a competing small van.

2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XLT 4dr Minivan w/Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
1st, creature comfort aka ergonomics. The odd-looking ignition/door/fuel door, and get this: 2-turn hood unlatching "Tibbe" key, is tricky to insert, hard to duplicate other than at the dealer, VERY expensive with the remote functions. You get 2,don't lose it, salesman warns! Fat to carry spare in your wallet, and no one seems to know if a plain "non-remote" copy will start vehicle. With just rear glass, turning from angle street intersections tricky to see oncoming traffic from right. I would recommend passenger side cargo door glass be standard. Acceleration for a 4 banger adequate, even interstate on- ramp with a load on board. brake pedal feels odd, as if booster is pulling it down.
Favorite Features
Drivers' seat has 4 way adjustment and armrest, but will cloth cover holdup? Steering wheel tilts and telescopes, very cool. The driver, passenger side sliding, and rear swing-out cargo doors- great access. Non-slip rubber cargo floor mat, blessing/curse; things don't slide, but removal harder.
Suggested Improvements
Plastics-will they hold up? Top steering column cover popped off during adjustment. Rear glass defog electrical connection covers- 1 missing, 1- poor fit/loose. Since it only will accommodate 6' objects, plywood won't fit. Must plan your load, and have rest delivered. New car odor like dead rats/odd.

WOW a GREAT Vehicle Transit Connect
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XLT 4dr Minivan w/Side & Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I recently purchased a 2010 Transit Connect XLT and I absolutely Love it. It am using it as a vehicle for my handicapped husband. He enters it easily, because it is low to the ground, then I put the wheelchair in the back and off we go. Tons of head room and tons and tons of space in the back. Having the second row of seats is nice just fold them front and there is more space. It is an attention getter. People love it. The gas mileage is 25 mpg. around town. The head room, the big open windshield, side glass and rear glass in the back doors(which swing out of the way)are excellent features. I hope people realize what a great family vehicle this can be. Love it. Love it. Love it.
Favorite Features
Great high head room, dark tinted glass in the side and rear windows, tons and tons of space. Five passenger and the middle 60/40 seats fold front for tons of space. The rear doors fold all the way open to the side of the vehicle. Lots of leg room. Air conditioning is awesome. Radio~~CD great.
Suggested Improvements
Ford you did awesome with this design. Thank you.

Mini Van Make Over
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XLT 4dr Minivan w/Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I and my coworker test-drove this vehicles because our company tried to purchase 2 of them to replace our current Ford 250s. We are afraid that this vehicle may not handle in the winter season because the chassis is way too low than what we expected. The cargo space is too little after you install the cabins, is very hard to get in from side doors.
Favorite Features
Rear open doors, 180 degrees.
Suggested Improvements
cargo space and driver's side leg room. side mirrors not wide enough to have a better view of what is coming to you.

TRANSIT
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XLT 4dr Minivan w/Side & Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
This van handles better then expected, smooth ride, great visibility from the front windshield and sides windows. Also has a tight turning radius. Have it just one week, every thing is within reach and the over head storage is awesome. Its every thing they said it would be. Don't believe what they say about the power, this vehicle has plenty of power as far as I am concerned.
Favorite Features
I love the sliding side doors on both sides and the height of the roof line. Great all around for pick up and delivery and the gas mileage is awesome as well.
Suggested Improvements
I just wish I could pull a trailer and do away with the locking gas door.

Delivery Vehicle
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XLT 4dr Minivan w/Side & Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
It is a basic delivery van, nothing else than that but in smaller stature. I would buy a crossover next time as the visual looks of this euro van just doesn't hit the mark. It reminds me of the old AMC cars of yesteryear only updated.
Favorite Features
storage..small gutless engine but ok fuel mpg.
Suggested Improvements
scrap it out and start over...

Drinks Too Much Gasoline, Too Thirsty
Vehicle
2010 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van XLT 4dr Minivan w/o Side & Rear Glass (2.0L 4cyl 4A)
Review
We have it for about 2 weeks, Drive like a minivan because it's kind a small. Needs a little more horse power. Didn't save much money on gas, not as good as I thought. This thing needs to rise up another 6 inches on the front end area.
Favorite Features
Drive like a minivan
Suggested Improvements
Front end too low, too easy to others bumper.
