1996 Ford Thunderbird LX 2dr Coupe

Review

I have had good experience with my 1996 T-bird. Overall very reliable car, no unscheduled maintenance so far. Traction control with snow tires on all 4 wheels is a must for snowy climate (I use Blizzaks). Handling is very good for a relatively large car and performance is too with the 4.6 V8. 4- wheel disc brakes are an improvement over disc/drum on my 1995 T-bird.

Favorite Features

Comfortable seating, attractive styling, good acceleration and road manners on interstate. V8 presence. Feels almost as quick as standard V8 Mustang GT but you can take your friends along with no complaints.

Suggested Improvements

No usable cupholders. Brake rotors warp easily (less so on this one than my 1995). Ford needs to learn how to make a brake rotor that lasts, this is a problem on all Ford products I've owned. Shocks don't hold up too well either.
