Incredible Car
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus SHO 4dr Sedan AWD (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 6A)
Review
Traded in a Lexus ES350 for the new Taurus. This car is incredible and blows away the ES350. The turbo engine is so smooth and quiet nobody including the driver would even guess it is turbo charged. The handling is great for a full sized car and would put many small cars to shame. The interior is nice. I'm 6'2" and the seats are absolutely perfect for me. The interior materials are great and comparable to many luxury cars. The hands free Sync system is absolutely awesome ans works great with my iPod and phone. The safety and technology features are invaluable. Once you experience the collision warning, blind spot warning, and adaptive cruise control, you will never want to go back.
Favorite Features
Collision avoidance, blind spot warning, and adaptive cruise control.
Suggested Improvements
More rear seat leg room would be nice.

Worth the Wait
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus Limited 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Review
Special ordered in May 09 without test driving or seeing vehicle in person. One of our best decisions. So glad Ford decided to bring Taurus back. Look forward to driving this car. Enjoying all the new features such as BlueTooth, voice activation. Called the Silver Bullet, love the color. Seats are comfortable, ride is smooth and quiet. Handles great. 29-30 MPG for trips to Ohio and 21-22 MPG around town and to work. So far, so good. Only problem - auto windshield wipers not working and dealer has failed to determine problem. New vehicle and people not trained in maintaining; trouble shooting. Ford failed to provide maintenance manuals in advance or train personnel.
Favorite Features
Overall feel and road performance followed by the Limited features (voice activation, Blue Tooth). Biggest trunk space of all cars with fold down seats (a major decision point since Honda, Toyota could not match). Trunk arms don't interfere with items in trunk (problem in old Taurus).
Suggested Improvements
Overhead console option for more storage. Coin holder; iPod connection not requiring USB cable; more direct voice activation actions (make it 1 step instead of 2)

Gets Lots of Looks
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus SEL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Review
Had our Taurus only a little over a month, but have already taken it on a 5 day driving trip to the mountains. It handled great, we even used the shift paddles coming down some of the steeper grades. They were easy to use and safer than riding the brake. We averaged 26 mpg which was better than expected. Passengers in the backseat commmented how comfortable they were and that they could see out well. Love the hands-free SYNC system. We used the directions coming and going, even though we had a map. It helped us even find a Walmart. Huge trunk, nice height for seating, you don't fall into the car. Everywhere we go, we always get comments on what a beautiful car it is.
Favorite Features
Comfortable, but sporty ride. Convenience of everything to the driver (feels like you're in a cockpit). SYNC system. Large trunk. Exterior lighting when you unlock doors.
Suggested Improvements
Trunk lid is a little hard to pull down without getting fingerprints all over. Had a problem with the headrest poking me in the back of the head at first but after some playing the seatback it's better now, wish there was a way to adjust the headrest forward and back.

Even better
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus Limited 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Review
Wow, this car is even better than I could have hoped for. This is not the Taurus we knew; not even close. I got the Limited front wheel drive w/ every feature but adaptive cruise. This is a pure world-class vehicle. It has endless space, and technology, dazzling design, and plenty of power and handling. The exterior look is stunning. I feel like a celeb with the way I get stopped by impressed strangers. I actually like the smaller glass lines; gives more private, comfy feel. Very quiet inside and out. Only cons for me are relatively limited interior storage, and no coin storage.
Favorite Features
Exterior styling, interior comfort, sync system and nav system.
Suggested Improvements
Could use larger center console storage and coin-tower storage. Some of the plastic on sides and wraping to top of center console is a bit cheap, for lack of a better word. Maybe it stands out because all other materials are, or appear, high-end. Rear seat leg room is less than '09, but still goo

Should've Gone With Lexus
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus SEL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Review
This car has had many problems from the start. The ride is stiff, the fuel economy is lousy and the handling is pretty terrible versus the competing vehicles and price points. The motor is also very coarse sounding at open throttle, which is not what I was expecting from such an expensive car. The gauges are also very plain and boring for such a pricey vehicles Buyer Beware.
Favorite Features
The dash trim and materials
Suggested Improvements
Fuel economy, handling, exterior design, ride quality, refinement of motor, price (way too high).

It's not your grandma's Taurus anymore!

2010 Ford Taurus Limited 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Review
I traded in my 2003 Corvette for a new fully loaded FWD 2010 Taurus Limited. Unless you live in snow country, there is no need to buy AWD. Acceleration is very impressive and it handles great too. This car is extremely smooth and quiet. Before you spend more money on another luxury vehicle, please test drive this car. This car is pure luxury with a sumptious leather interior and an optional navigation package.
Favorite Features
Do not skimp, and buy the full navigation package with Microsoft Sync. This option includes a hands free Bluetooth phone speaker system. Also, I recommend the adaptive cruise control option. It's a very smart device. The car drives itself even on a busy freeway.
Suggested Improvements
I can't think of any right now. All I can tell you is, that you get a lot of car for the money!

The best new car on the road
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus Limited 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Review
I have had the Limited for about a month. I have driven Lexus vehicles for 15 years and this is more quiet than any Lexus I have owned and more fun to drive. It has great performance and a lot of technical features...my favorite is the adaptive cruise control and blind spot indicators. I have had many people want to look and at least two Mercedes owners looked at it and wanted to trade theirs in for this car. I think some may find the drivers space a bit confining due to the design of the console but the console itself is well put together. I have the tuxedo metallic black...really upscale looking
Favorite Features
Blind spot indicator; Adaptive cruise control and cross traffic Alert. Sync is grear too
Suggested Improvements
Help with closing the trunk and move USB connector out of storage box to dash.

Impressed
Vehicle
2010 Ford Taurus SHO 4dr Sedan AWD (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 6A)
Review
I went from a 2008 Lexus ES 350 to a 2010 Taurus SHO. I am impressed by the quality of work and the craftsmanship. I having been hearing "Oh you went from a Lexus to a Ford" that is before they see the car,the features and the ease of use which I have to admit Lexus did poorly with their voice command system. The car cost around the same as the Lexus when I got it about a year ago. There are somethings missing on either car but can't have it all. A few years ago I would not even recommend a Ford but times have changed. It is worth money. Cheaper is better without losing quality but why complain about it if you are willing to spend much more on an import that offers a lot less.
Favorite Features
The amount of space, voice command system, features available, the firm ride. The improve look and it's mean stance.
Suggested Improvements
Rear windshied is kind of narrow but the BLIS system helps. I wish the side view mirrors would automatically fold in when in park or dip when reversing.
