    I also have had the same problem. I own a 2007 Ford Taurus with 49,000 miles. I was driving for about 20 minutes for both of my stalls. Both stalls came from accelerating from a stop of a red light turning left. HELP!!!

    That is not a bad out-the-door price for an Impala. Figure if it was $23,400, and then they were getting the $2,000 rebate, the dealer was selling the car for somewhere around $20,500 (assuming an average sales tax rate of 7%).     I think it's pretty impressive that in the 2008 Taurus, the new 3.5L Duratec hooked up to the same 6-speed automatic gets 2 MPG better on the Highway, and 1 MPG better combined compared to the 2007 Five Hundred with the old 3.0L Duratec.     Are you sure the dealer didn't put you into a 2007 Ford Five Hundred. It sounds as though the car you were driving has a CVT transmission. The 2008 Taurus has lots of go and the transmission is very positive. Either you were in the wrong model Ford or there was something really wrong with it.

Each year there is improvements in the Fusion...(more standard equipment) and Mustang (more interior options, more wheel options).     Oh, by the way they said since we noticed the leak in 2005 (but reported it in 2007) and didn't take it in for service then we missed the warranty period. And that if we would have purchased the 100,000 mile extended warranty we would be covered. So the best they could do was 10%.

    So theres really nothing different from a Fleet only car than a regular car other than being leased out to someone. The Taurus SEL was very nice, The new 08 Taurus will look just like the Ford Five Hundred and I don't care for that boxy style look.

They were sold as "fleet-only" the last few years (like the Chevy Malibu "Classic" and some other cars).     Yes, the Hertz warranty works at Ford dealerships with no problem. You just call Hertz before you take the car to the dealer and then show the dealer the Hertz warranty paperwork. They bill directly to Hertz. I have used it. The program I had gave you 5 additional years and 75,000 additional miles on top of whatever mileage the car has at on your purchase date.     Would the Hertz extended warranty be honored at a Ford Dealership if repairs would need to be completed? I'm debating on buying an ex rental i've heard horror stories about how some rental companies do not complete oil changes on time and other maint.

    The release lever you use to open the doors from the inside used to be shiny chrome and are now cheaper-looking black plastic. I doubt if this change saved $5 per car, but makes it look much cheaper. Hertz has their own program with money back guarantee, fixed prices and reasonably priced extended warranties that have better coverage than the the "Certified" program coverage you get from Ford.     What are the black plastic interior door release handles? Well some of these ex rentals are Ford Certified which I can only get by purchasing from a Ford dealership, I think i would rather take my chances and buy directly from a Ford dealer instead of a Hertz or Budget lot.

    Actually I can only find the 24V Duratec engines in the 2004's Ford didn't make the 2005's with the Duratec's.
