since we purchased our taurus my wife and i really enjoy getting out and driving. the gas mileage could be better but the comfort of the ride makes up for the mileage

This is a car you just drive. It will probaly last forever and remember it is a nascar car. And it is good looking.And it come's down to this a car is a car.My other car is a truck and the wife love's it. I got stuck with the car it;s not all bad.

Review
A good value for the money. Sporty looks with a solid, road hugging ride. Feels and holds the road like a heavier car, but gets excellent gas mileage (28+) with highway driving, even exceeding the speed limits. A good all round family car that provides fun to drive and roomy comfort. Has a smooth ride that makes long trips enjoyable. Would buy a Taurus again!!!

Braking could be improved and the oil filter is in a bad location for us shade tree mechanics.

I owned a 92 Taurus and loved so much that when it came time to purchase a new car I had a very hard time giving it up. I shopped around and test drove numerous vehicles. I really wanted to give another model and make a try but, I just couldn't get use to driving them. I finally gave in and decided to test drive 2003 Ford Taurus SES and I loved it. Truth be told it doesn't have fancy gadgets. The ride is smooth and so is the price. I am very pleased with my choice and so far, a very happy customer. It's comfortable, affordable and has plenty of room. The only thing I have noticed is that I get a little less gas milage.
Favorite Features
I love the automatic lock, the built in anti-theft, the pickup.
Suggested Improvements
trunk security lock inside the car. (My old 92 Taurus had it, it was so cool..you could lock your trunk in such a way that no one could open it unless they had a key. Not even from the inside)

Review
This is an excellent car althiugh theresale value is low. The only problemI have had is thr front brakes. Ford replaced the pad and rotors at 14000 miles. The vechile has 30000 miles now.

Climate control, Mach sound with CD,Duratec engine. Needs the auto dimming mirror and the car would be perfect. I have a Crown and this is as much of a pleasure to drive as the crown

Review
We traded in a 97 Taurus on the 2003 Taurus wagon. This model was chosen due to our need to combine extra space and decent gas mileage. Price was an option and resale value not important as we keep our cars for a long period of time. Personally, I don't think you can beat this model for reliability, room, comfort and price. We did not buy new vehicle but chose a program car with 13,300 miles on it. This saved on cost & depreciation. Having had a van in the past we wouldn't be getting 24mgp as we are averaging in overall mileage. Very satisfied with this vehicle! A good sensible vehicle!
Favorite Features
Adjustable pedals was an important consideration as my wife is short. This way it is safe for her to drive as she is proper distance from steering wheel. Also like electric drivers seat & electric lock features with keyless entry.
Suggested Improvements
None- We desired the lower horsepower engine (155hp) over the Duratech model as it has been very reliable and gives enough zip in our opinion for driving.

Review
The disadvatages of this car is that it rattles when you drive and it sometimes gets stuck into gear when flooring it. The dash controles are inconvenient.

You can hook up a multi disc CD changer in the trunk
Suggested Improvements
Stop the car from rattling, and redesign the dash bord so it would be easyer to press the controle buttons.
