Problems with Heater and Rear Driver Door

I have a 2003 Ford Taurus. The Heater won't run at all and I do have power in the main frame of the unit in the car. The lights come on in the heater, but I don't get heat or AC. Also, the rear driver door won't go down? Does anyone know if this is an electrical problem with a fuse, and which fuse to change? Are these issue related? My 2003 Taurus 3.0 Duratec has 30,000 miles on it and I am having the STALLING deal when it gets WARM UP!And I have to let it sit about 30MINS. Before it will RUN! For me it was a transmission range sensor or neutral safety switch (it's a sensor that sits on top of the transmission that regulates how the car goes into gear and has the gear arm attached to it). A fairly easy fix (took bf and I about a half hour). It is listed as a service bulletin by Ford for '96 Taurus/Sables I don't know if the newer ones have the same issues. Read More...

I don't know where you're getting your information regarding Jaguar's reliability ratings...but they're dated at a minimum. I also have a 2003 Ford Taurus and noticed that it was taking a long time for the side mirror lights to turn off. I timed it and they seem to turn off after about 30 minutes. Haven't been able to determine if there is a way to adjust the duration or if this is simply how it is designed. Would appreciate any suggestion... Read More...

Have a 2003 ford Taurus with 93k. Has the Transmission fluid changed at 30k and 60 k. Just had the same thing happen to me. The car sat a week, went to pull it out of the garage and left a puddle of transmission fluid. Looks like the leak is in the same place you described. It has not done it again but I have not let the car sit. Did you ever find out where the leak was coming ... Read More...
