actually glad to hear that you have had some luck with your Tauri, but, reliability stats don't generally support anything 'superior' ever coming from Ford if you are going to consider the Camry, Altima, and/or Accord benchmarks, which I will grant you probably cost 10-15% or so more. I have a 2003 ford taurus and they a/c has gone out. it started by low and med blower speeds not working but high working...and then high stopped working. now when i turn the air on nothing blows out but while you drive you can feel cool air coming out of the vents. i took it to a shop thinking that it might be a resistor, the shop checked that (under the dash, by the way...lol) ... I have a 2003 Taurus and have no problems getting to the rear plugs. I've infact had all six of my spark plugs out. Pretty much this is a problem that you're going to run into with any Front-Wheel Drive cars that are V-6's. Ok all, my 2003 Ford Taurus, is at 37,000 miles, and the ac has gone dead. At first I could work the nob, on and off a few times, then it would kick in, and work until I turned off the car. Now, no matter what, it won't come on. This happened over a 2 week period. Have any of you EVER heard of a 2 year old AC system going out on one of these things. I have 2003 Ford Taurus. Last night, I thought something was wrong with my fuel tank( gas all over) only to find out that a pipe had become disconnected. A friend of mine screwed everything back in place and now the car is running fine, except the check engine came on. Do you think the two problems are connected and it may just be sensor? Thanks! Has anyone out there experienced a nauseating problem with a stench that seems to be similar to mold? I think it's fair to compare it to that Seinfeld episode where Jerry's car got a B.O. smell in it that "attached" itself to everyone and everything. I have a 1999 Ford Taurus Wagon that we have been having major heater core problems with as well. We had actually bought the car used from a Toyata dealer in New Orleans back in 2002. Since then we have had to replace the heater core 6/30/03, 5/26/04, and 9/1/04. Yes the coolant is turning brown, so I'm guess that the some sort of corrosion is getting into the coolant ...
