Taurus/Sable Starting or Stalling Problems

I have a 2003 Ford Taurus SES. I purchased it in January and it has recently been stalling when I stop. I have seen lots of questions about a car stalling when slowing down or speeding up, but my taurus is stalling out when maintaining speed. It sort of stutters, trying to stall. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it keeps going. We changed the fuel filter and cleaned the injections. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Read More...

My 2003 taurus ,once in a great while, would not restart after driving about 30min.then, shutting off for a few min and restarting again. After letting car sit for 15 min it will start just fine. I got some advice from a ford mechanic on Just Ask who said the fuel pump was bad and affected by heating up in its norrnal operation. On restart the "overheat" would not let ... Read More...

I have a 2003 Taurus, Ford paid 80% of my leak too. If its a factory defect, Ford should have paid 100% in opinion. My extended warranty wouldn't even touch it because of the water defect & damage. Read More...

I owned a Ford Taurus (Sable). Ford is infamous for the transmissions failing at 75,000 miles and above. That's why they do not have the warranty that Hyundai has. Also, it does not have the quality or safety of the Azera. Both a friend and I owned 2003 Camry's. The quality is no longer there and Toyota was quick to jump on "not covered by warranty." What does the 03V087000 recall cover? Is the recall fixing the water leak but not the blower motor failure caused by the leak? I am looking at 2003 Sable and I want to make sure this problem can be fixed before I buy. Also, If it's been fixed already how can I be sure it's been fixed right? Thanks Read More...
