2003 Ford Taurus SES 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

1. A car should have pickup or gas mileage. Ideally, it should have both. This car has neither. A Camry or Accord can accelerate faster and needs much less gas. 2. Details details. Why do you have to unfold the front seat to get to the change holder? Why can't the stereo get signal on cloudy days? 3. The car had trouble starting on a mild spring day with only 2200 miles under it's belt. That's pathetic. There was a time when Accords and Camrys were fighting to catch up to the Taurus - America's #1 selling car in the 80's. Now they're not in the same class.

Best Features

Good legroom in the back.

Worst Features

Better acceleration. Better gas mileage. Better interior design. Improved stereo. Lower sticker price.

Ideally, you should have checked your engine. The SES, according to edmunds, came OPTIONAL with the 24V DOHC 200HP engine. That is the one for pickup. Chances are that you have the base 12V OHC which only has 155hp, which is what my dads 4 cyl 99 altima has. Secondly, either engine manages 25-28mpg highway and 20-23 city. Q2--You didn't get the good interior. 3. You got the shitty sound system which has a TSB. 4. 03 Tauruses with the SHITTY engine have a starter recall. Read Edmund before you buy. You may have a shitty car but it could have been prevented, as these cars are usually very reliable.
