I've had the car since it was new - a little over 5 years. Last 18 months, the maintenance has been expensive. It gets serviced by the dealer or a national reliable chain, but the transmission died today, last year it was the transaxle seals. If there is good news, I'm running out of things to replace on this car.
Ford needs to look at quality from its suppliers. Chances are I wouldn't buy another Ford again because of my experiences with this Taurus. A new car should be able to live a long happy life, far beyond 5+ years.
