2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Coupe 2dr Coupe (5.4L 8cyl S/C 6M)

Review

This is my fourth Mustang in three years. I thought I'd start slow and cheap. First, 2006 V6, second 2006 GT, third 2009 GT500, now a 2010 GT500. I realized I lost a lot of money on the trade-ins, however, I love this car. It's so exciting to drive and people stare at the car. It looks meaner than any other of the previous GT's. You have to experience the car for yourself. I had a 2008 C6 Corvette, honestly, this car is much more fun to drive.

Best Features

I love the 540 HP.

Worst Features

Weight reduction

2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Coupe 2dr Coupe (5.4L 8cyl S/C 6M)

Review

Simply the best performance car for the money! Where can you get a new car with 540 HP for 50K? Who needs the old muscle cars? Not me. been there and done that-engines that overheat, have lumpy idles, heavy clutch, constant fiddling to stay in tune and lousy brakes and handling. The 2010 Shelby delivers killer good looks, exclusivity, smooth idle, easy to drive fast--and this vehicle flat out hauls the mail! A senile priest can turn a high 12 second 1/4 mile in this car.

Best Features

Brute force acceleration with brakes equally up to job of stopping. Interior and exterior design, ambient lighting, Cue-ball shift knob, very light and smooth clutch and snick-snick shifter, stout brakes, throaty sounding exhaust, electronics package.

Worst Features

Heavy-- could lose at least 200-500 pounds.

Review

I love this years Shelby GT 500 it is fun to drive and an absoulte head turner. I look forward to getting behind the wheel of this car. Incredible power and handling with a forgiving clutch makes it a dream for even a novice driver.

Best Features

The ambient lighting on the interior, suede on the wheel and seats, racing stripe seats and comfortability, SVT wheels and 540 hp engine!

Worst Features

More traction in the rear-end with wider tires. And throw a spare tire in there.

Review

Great conversation piece; gets many looks. No problems through 2500 miles. Satisfied with build quality and overall value.

Best Features

Car is just plain fun. Not the fastest car available but the fun factor makes it worth the money. Available accessories are plentiful. Intend to add performance upgrades.

Worst Features

Disappointed in lack of traction during acceleration. Power means nothing if I can't keep wheels from spinning.
