First, if you own a regular Mustang GT. Then you can upgrade your mechanicals to the Shelby GT with Ford Racing parts. To upgrade a stock GT to GT500 is not really realistic. Here is a heads up for anyone thinking about getting one of these or thinking about waiting to see if prices drop. Ford said they were going to build between 8k - 9k Shelby GT500 Mustangs for 2007.
