1996 Ford Ranger XLT 2dr Regular Cab 4WD LB

Review

This is a great truck for the money and it's easy to work on but be ready to work on it because nothing lasts. Make sure to do all preventative maintenance.

Best Features

Good mileage for a 4WD

Worst Features

Overall quality. I've had dodges with less problems

1996 Ford Ranger XLT 2dr Regular Cab 4WD LB

Review

Have owned Rangers since 1983. The only real problem I have had with the '96 was the automatic hubs went out, I had them replaced with manual hubs for $260. As of today I have 98,000 miles and the body and finish are still excellent.

Best Features

I like the 7' bed and the 4 liter V-6.

Review

This truck has been very reliable
espescially considering the miles that
are on it. It is a little sluggish on
the freeway at times. I have abused it
at work for a year a half now and it
still looks and runs well.

Best Features

Dependability. Gas mileage is not bad for 4wd vehicle.

Worst Features

I should have opted for a 4L V6 engine instead of 3L V6. A Reese hitch would be nice.
