Love my Ranger
Vehicle
1995 Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Standard Cab SB
Review
This truck does everything I ask. Great gas mileage, excellent room inside. I only have 2 problems with it. 4 cyl. needs a little more power and the jack and tire iron rattle, but going to fix that. When I bought the truck never thought I would get compliments on how it looks but it seems every where I go someone tells me how clean or good it looks, it's completly stock, I guess it's just a good looking truck.
Favorite Features
Interior room, ease of maintinance, parts are cost efective, gas mileage with A/C!
Suggested Improvements
Little more HP from the 4cyl (75hp extra would do).

It has never failed to start. never left me stranded. I have hauled 2000 lb. in the bed. and can pull trailer wait. I can't hardly pull a bass boat up and out of the water very well but it does the job. It's been a good truck.
Favorite Features
Relax in a small truck and move on ,good radio
Suggested Improvements
More power

Best truck I have ever known
Vehicle
1995 Ford Ranger 2 Dr XL Extended Cab SB
Review
Put 110K miles on it over 5 years and never had a problem. Most of the miles were city miles and the clutch wore out at 165K. The mechanic did a compression check and said it could easily go another 50K before an overhaul. There were some off-road and harsh miles in there too. The 4 cylinder was always great on gas (I routinely averaged about 29 mpg) and was adequate to keep up with traffic but would not win a drag race.
Favorite Features
Handling - driver is in control at all times, shifting, steel bumpers, limited slip differential was 2wd but still worked great off-road and in snow, heat/AC powerful enough to heat/cool a small house.
Suggested Improvements
Standard rear doors on the extended cab, faster windshield wipers speed.

My Ranger has been a reliable vehicle. However, it is gutless. Barely gets out of its own way. A/C and heater work great. Never overheats. Don't feel safe in it going over 70 MPH. Does not track well.

Nice little truck, had some dome light and chime issues, taken care of by using WD-40 on the door lock assembly. The wipers wipe once on their own about one every couple weeks (strange). And the brake lines rusted away. Other than that I love the truck. You sure won't win any races with it!
Favorite Features
Comfortable ride,. Interior design. Stereo.
Suggested Improvements
Could use a more powerful 4 cylinder.

Best vechicle ever

Review
I have 120,000 miles on this and have NEVER replaced a part other than oil, air filter, two sets of tires and one battery. (I replaced the battery this winter). Never had the front end aligned, NOTHING. The A/C will run you out in about three minutes. It has never broken down, never been in the shop. Simply the best vehicle I have had or know of.

Great Truck

Review
Outside of small electrical problems, this has been a wonderful, reliable truck. Perhaps the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Only thing is the 4 cylinder engine is underpowered. 0-60mph is about 21 seconds. Mountains are a drag. But, I use the truck almost exclusively in the city. So it is GREAT.
Favorite Features
Extended cab, reliability.
Suggested Improvements
More power for the engine. Solve the annoying minor electrical issues.

For the many trials I have put my Ford through, it has passed all of them with a A+. From climbing sand dunes to hauling its maximum weight, it has done it all for me. Some electrical issues have been a problem, such as the door chimes have a mind of there own, but no really big issues. I could not ask for more out of the 4.0 V6. No, I repeat, No problems over the 100,000 miles I have put on it. I bought it with 90,000, and now have 190,000 on it and it's still running strong.
Favorite Features
4X4 easy to use, heat and air always have worked great.
Suggested Improvements
Brakes have always been a issue, electrical systems could use some work, such as the door ajar alarm.
