I'm shopping for a GT premium convertible right now. I test drove a lava red one with accessory package 6 (hood scoop, pedestal spoiler, side scoops and decklid trim panel), Brembro brake package and the electronics package. The lava red is really just black with red flakes/sparkles in it which you had to look closely to even see, at least in daylight. I had a 1972 Mustang convertible in high school ... Read More

In 2009, I purchased a 08. It was not from a dealer but the owner of the garage who in the past and done my repairs. He buys at auction and is someone I trust implicitly. This winter, I noticed cracking on the piping around the top. In January, I took it to a FORD dealer and they made arrangements to contract the job to have the roof replaced. Upon replacement, ... I have a 2007 Mustang convertible (bought new) which I love, all except for the leaking top. I had it into the shop 5 times in 2009 and FINALLY, on the fifth time Ford allowed the dealership to replace the top! When there was a heavy rain, I would get 1-2 inches of rain in the passenger side. The water would be sloshing around in the floor!!! The back seat had ... Read More

Go to overstock.com, click on cars, then type in your zip code, make and model and you should get a good deal on a 2011 Mustang. 2011 2dr Coupe Premium is $29905 for Chicago area and you get 412 HP and 390 Torque, the extra $2000 obo is worth the extra 112 HP, or get the 2011 V6 with 305 HP and 280 Torque for $23605, plus tax, dest and so ... Hello: I'm running into similar issues with a 2009 GT I just bought in August. The trans is louder then how I think it should sound. Bought it back to the dealer twice and the technician stated he hears something but wasn't ready to say anything was wrong. He did comment that he thought the sound was coming from the trans. He sent out an inquiry to Ford to see if ... Read More

If the $27K the out the door price that's not to bad. I would buy it if i were you. I personally like the 05-09 better than the new style 2010. I paid 28.3 for my 06 out the door and it doesn't have a glass roof which i like. I think they people at ford missed a golden opportunity to use other retro traits from the past on the new ... Personally I would wait for either the 2011 V6 or V8 models if you can. When you're ready to buy, go to edmunds.com or kbb.com and figure out the dealer invoice price for the vehicle and add $500 to account for the FDAF advertising fee that is part of the actual factory invoice but is not included in the online dealer invoice pricing. Then subtract all available rebates and incentives. That ... Read More

The 2009, when I purchased my Challenger, the 2010 Mustang wasn't available. The Camaro was just ramping up. So I only had the Camaro and the 09 Mustang to compare to. If there is a big difference than good for Ford. My Boss has a 2009 Mustang with the Glass roof. The exterior is beauitful but the interior looks so cheesy and has a cheap feeling. Remember when we were all talking about the return of the muscle-car wars? You know, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, 2009 Dodge Challenger and 2010 Ford Mustang locked in a V8-powered, testosterone-saturated, mustache-stroking, smack-talking, bitch-slappin', patch-laying death match? That was great. Good times. Way better than the housing/financial/automotive apocalypse that's now upon us. 2010 Ford Mustang First Look

The current model Mustang was supposed to be styled after the first generation. From what Ford has posted on the '10 model, it looks like it's going to be styled after the late-'60s Mustangs. I can't wait to see the whole thing. These teaser photos are too much of a tease.

Sounds like they applied the cash/rebate to arrive at that price. Check Ford's May programs. The main edmunds site shows people paying a little over invoice, so I think you could get that pricing plus any incentives/special programs. I see plenty of Bullitts in inventory still, and read that of the 7,700 to be built for US and Canada that some will be part of the 2009 model year production, so ... Read More

Coming in 2010: The Boss is a forthcoming large-displacement V8 engine project at Ford Motor Company. The engine project was reportedly cancelled in 2005 as the company focused on its existing Triton V8 and V10, but was reportedly[1] revived in early 2006 by Mark Fields. The large engine will compete with DaimlerChrysler's new Hemi and General Motors' large Vortec engines. The Boss engine will reportedly displace 6.2 L (379 in³, 6208 ... Read More

I love it! Ford "FINALLY" put a damn side scoop and a hood scoop on the car. The new Mustang needed side scoops and a hood scoop badly. It looked "LAME" without them. I also like the side stripes and the Bullitt wheels. Maybe Ford will get it right with the next new 2009/2010 Mustang body design. Or maybe not.

You guys are talking about two very different cars. Mustang is built for cruising. It wasn't designed to be a GTO beater. It has decent looks apparently (not my taste) :P , that satisfy its customer base and a middle-of-the-road but certainly not bad engine. GTO is in a different class, kinda like the old Chevelle-Malibu. GM designed it to be roomy and luxurious, as well as being a car that ... Read More
