In 2009, I purchased a 08. It was not from a dealer but the owner of the garage who in the past and done my repairs. He buys at auction and is someone I trust implicitly. This winter, I noticed cracking on the piping around the top. In January, I took it to a FORD dealer and they made arrangements to contract the job to have the roof replaced. Upon replacement, ... Hello crestonave. Here is the information that you are looking for. You never mentioned how long you want to lease this car for or what mileage allowance you need, so for now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. Ford Credit's current base rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of ... Read More
I'm looking to lease a 2008 Ford Mustang V6 Premium convertible. I believe there's a $500 lease incentive going on right now in my area (Long Island New York). Can someone supply the money factor and residual for this car? Any other incentives available that I'm not aware of? Much appreciated!
I am trying to decide on two types of mustang coupes. One is a 2005 Ford Mustang coupe and the other is a 2008 Ford Mustang coupe. I need help finding out how to figure out the monthly payments on the vehicles and which Mustang is cost-effective. I am also trying figure with the monthly payments would be if there were extra things added to them. I am in need of ... Read More
i want to know how to figure out the monthly payments on a 2008 ford mustang and a 2005 ford mustang for future reference. just in case they are needed down the road. can anyone help me with this problem?
Hi jfgobraves24. Here's the info that you're looking for. Ford Credit's base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Ford Mustang Convertible GT with 15,000 miles per year are 6.5% and 59%, respectively. The residual value for an otherwise identical lease with only 12,000 miles per year would be 2% higher. Ford is currently providing $1,000 bonus cash on this car in most regions and ... Read More
I bought an 08 Bullitt mustang in sept of 2008. Not 6 months had gone by and the car started grinding gears 1-2, 2-3, took the car in and with 5800 miles had to replace 1-2 sychronizer an 2-3 synchronizer clutch and pressure plate. 2 weeks later the car would not go into gear at all. Transmission was removed and they found 2 gear had problem, replaced and reinstalled. Three months ... Read More
I'd love to know what dealer would give me 15% off sticker on a new Mustang ragtop. I'm not aruguing that you can't get it just because I haven't had that experience; it's an honest question. Who would offer me that? If the sticker is $32K that means that I could buy the car for a little more than $27K, plus incentives? I've poked around on some pricing websites and for ... Read More
I leased a 2008 Mustang V6 convertible early last year. The car comes off lease end of March 2010. I know I'm early with this question but I like to try to plan ahead. Anyone know if Ford Credit will negotiate the buy out price should I decide that I want to keep the car? Can I negotiate directly with them or must I go through a dealer? Can I use ... Read More
We have the 2008 4.0L V6 w/17" wheels, we put Firestone Winter Force snow tires all the way around. Haven't had a good snow to really test them out yet, but that is what we did. :)
Its not normal, Ford has a TSB out on the lash adjusters, but wont warrant the work if you are out of 36K limit! Very expensive repair, its their design problem because they corrected it, supposedly, after about March 2008. You think they would own up to their mistakes! This damages rockers and cam if left unfixed. :(
amazing ,another ford owner in the clouds, i myself was a mustang cobra owner ,andi have a pontiac gtp, a 2008 bmw z4,and a 2008 m5 ,so much for your statement ...............................oh and yea ,so much for mustang cobras

A Ford engineer was the first to tell me about how the 2008 was redesigned. I would like to put a 2008 next to 2005 to 2007 up on a rack side by side;plus I would take it to the pumps and fill it up to make sure;its not an issue. My name is McQueen . . . Jeff McQueen and I live in Detroit. When I met Ford CEO, Alan Mulally last April and he saw my last name on my business card, he informed me Ford would launch the 2008 Bullitt in the Fall of 2007, and suggested I get one. My Bullitt arrived in February 2008 and I've been having a blast. I quickly learned how to drive a ... Read More
Sounds like they applied the cash/rebate to arrive at that price. Check Ford's May programs. The main edmunds site shows people paying a little over invoice, so I think you could get that pricing plus any incentives/special programs. I see plenty of Bullitts in inventory still, and read that of the 7,700 to be built for US and Canada that some will be part of the 2009 model year production, so ... Read More
I was offered $30,228 + $599 doc + $22 tag fee 7% tax = $33,008 OTD That is for an 08 GT Premium, Bullitt Package, with HID headlights, ambient lighting, alarm, and wheel locks. MSRP $32,70, Invoice $30,388, Price Offered $30,228 It seems like a great deal, but I am wondering if I hold out, will it get a little sweeter? I also just saw on ford's website, that the Bullitt ... Don't give up an this awesome vehicle. Mine is resting in the garage ,ready for the next romp. The deeper I dug into this vehicle , the more I discovered its uniqueness and special components. You just can't build the equivalent car for the $3,100 Bullitt option cost over a GT premium. The list of special , high performance components far exceeds that of the Shelby GT. From that perspective, its ... Read More
I say buy a CS and throw on a CAI and a tuner flash and save the dough. Roughly the same performance or better. Put the difference in a CD or a bond. Enjoy!
You might check on the special programs again now that the programs ending March 31st are over, and new programs have started 4/1. I did a build and price on the Ford Web site tonight on a Mustang with Bullitt package and see that the special programs now appear in the pricing summary. (previously they did not show up when I chose the Bullitt package). I'd be interested to see what ... Read More
Alright, so what I had received before, was an online quote. I talked to the internet sales manager and your correct. There are no rebates available on the Bullitt. The internet quote system was wrong. The price will be $30,228 + 599 doc fee + 22 tag fee + 7% tax = $33,008 total. That is for a GT Premium, Bullit package, HID headlights, ambient lighting, alarm, sirius, and wheel locks. ... Read More

Please have your dealer double , no, triple check if the $1,500 incentive is available on the 2008 Bullitt. My dealer AND Ford told me the Bullitt was excluded from the $1,500 incentive and low interest financing. I pushed them very hard on that issue, but was told that it was fact. BTW, your price is well below any that I have heard of on this vehicle. Thanks and please post ... Read More
Anyone have any luck with this car? The MSRP is $32,720, Invoice is $30,388. Ford has a $1500 rebate. My dealer has offered $28,118 + tax, tag, title, etc. Anyone think I can do any better. Initially they said $34k because there was a premium on it as only 7000 were being made. Now, I think they are hurting to sell them, because of gas prices. Any thoughts?
You got ripped. Go back and scream. There's a TSB on the water leak issue - #07-14-6. The problem is almost always on the passenger side. This applies to 2005 through 2008 Mustangs and the online publication date of the TSB was 7/3/07. The thing that is sad is that Ford gives four four possible causes in the TSB: 1) Loose grommets and/or sealer skips around the cowl area; 2) loose ... Read More
My thoughts......a Roush Stage 3 Vert is the most over priced car in the world thanks to the GT-500. Ford destroyed these after-market cars when the launched the GT-500. Folks are starting to buy these closer to closer to sticker every day, which makes paying $57k for a Roush insane. You sir, should write a letter to Ford thanking them for the GT-500. So, I think $43k or so is a ... Read More

Black, will indeed make for the rarer Bullitt ,color wise. However, when all else is considered, Ford will build far more black Mustangs of this vintage for all models than Highland Green vehicles- (a color which will remain exclusive to the 2008 Bullitt.) We'll probably have to wait for the collector car auctions 25 years from now as to which 08 Bullitts are bringing the most bucks.
Curious as to how Ford will build these starting Jan. 08 - in one shot for all 7,700 or piecemeal throughout the rest of the model year ? My guess is that it will be the former , but it'd be nice to hear from someone who has more than just a guess and actual info on this matter straight from Ford.
Well, to give you an idea of my perspective, my everyday ride is an Odyssey and my wife drives a Pilot. The build quality of my '06 Mustang GT convertible is not quite that of a Honda but it is pretty good. The interior has too much hard plastic but, heck, most all cars do today! It has the tan interior with the interior upgrade package and the black dash, seat ... Read More

First, if you own a regular Mustang GT. Then you can upgrade your mechanicals to the Shelby GT with Ford Racing parts. To upgrade a stock GT to GT500 is not really realistic. Second. vs the GT500, the Shelby GT actually went to Los Vegas and was worked on by Shelby techs. The GT500 as built 100% on the regular Mustang line in Flat Rock. Third, My dealer sells the Shelby ... Read More
dtbob - Thanks for the responses. As it just so happens, I saw a 2008 Dark Candy Apple Red over the weekend. Had to drive all the way down to Morgan Hill. DCAR is similar to Redfire, but has slight orangey red in it, ... Read More
Moronix, It doesn’t create an “artificial” anything! There is nothing “artificial” about it. It is REALITY and FACT! The entire history of Shelby’s has been a very limited number. In fact, the 2007 and 2008 Shelby’s will be the highest production ever on a Shelby Mustang. They are building about 18,000 of these over two years. That is a LOT more than all prior years combined! Dealers don’t have customers in ... Read More
Here is a heads up for anyone thinking about getting one of these or thinking about waiting to see if prices drop. Ford said they were going to build between 8k - 9k Shelby GT500 Mustangs for 2007. I am a sales manager of a Ford Dealership and you would be a fool to give a deposit being 8th in line when they are only getting 2 and have seven people ahead of you. The only big difference being they built 10's of thousands of T-Birds per year for 4 years. The first 2 years dealers were getting from $2k - $5k over MSRP for that car. In 04 and 05 they couldn't give them away. Mostly because it was way over priced to begin with. $40k - $43k MSRP on a car that should not have been priced over $30k to begin with. The ... Read More
Well it may be a little rough on the edges, as you say, but the price is getting more uptown. Once the Challenger, then the Camaro ( if they are still in business ) comes out, I would imagine Ford will have to upgrade the Stang to IRS. And yes, I suppose I could live without it, while likewise the price on the V6 should stay under $20K and the V8 ... Read More
I do NOT want to see a retro GTO in 2008. I would like to see a new design, something that Ford couldn't do on the mustang, had to use a 1967 body which has a horrible .35 CD for a sporty car. GTO/Monaro has an acceptable SLICK .29 or .30 CD. Which also helps it's top end and makes it more stable.
"I personally don't think we'll see the Duratec35 in the Mustang until a mid-cycle refresh. Given Ford's new refresh strategy that will probably be somewhere around 2008-2010." I agree, but for a different reason. Ford has no need to offer any real improvements of this nature to a car which is already selling, and will continue to sell, as well as the Mustang. However, other cars in their lineup DO need ... Read More
I know it's underrated at 300 but that's still what most shoppers see. You, I, and other enthusiasts know the real story. However, those who don't will most likely be upset if they paid X amount over sticker for their '05 or '06 GT with 300 HP only to have some "secretary" pay only $20k for 50 fewer horses a year or two later. I personally don't think we'll see the ... Read More
I hear what a lot of you are saying about the "retro" look of the 2005 but I think that what Ford is doing is just what's happened a lot during the Mustang's life. The 67-68 was radically different from the 65-66 but there were the Mustang styling cues and I don't think a 67 Mustang could ever be thought to be anything but a Mustang. Same for the 69 thru ...
