2006 Ford Mustang GT Premium 2dr Coupe (4.6L 8cyl 5M)
I bought this after owning a '88 LX 5.0. It is a larger/heavier car and isn't as agile as I would like. Engine/trans are smooth and interior is comfortable, especially seats. Handling/ride is so-so with outdated solid axle. Motor is smooth and quiet and not as torquey as 5.0 engine. Overall a good car, but doesn't give me an adrenalin shot like the old car did.
Seats, interior, styling, luxury features such as auto windows, locking key fob. Exterior styling is good, but the car is a bit jacked up on its springs and doesn't look menacing enough. Needs lower stance.
It's a real shame Ford had to cut corners on the suspension. This could have been world class with an independent rear suspension. As it is, it's a compromise. Needs more torque, as in 5.0 naturally aspirated. Electronic throttle is quirky. It keeps revs up so engine braking on downshift is poor.
