WHAT A SURPRISE...THE RIDE, STYLING, CONFORT, POWER, LOOKS, INTERIOR, QUITE, ETC, ETC...A MUSTANG USED TO BE A LOWER END, FUN TO DRIVE CAR.....NOW WHAT FORD HAS DONE, IS TO REDESIGN THIS CLASIC, AND MAKE A TRUE LUXURY PERFORMANCE CAR....THE RIDE IS SO SMOTH, QUIET, AND THE ROAR OF THE V-8 IS AWESOME....I HAVE HAD ALL THE TRUE HIGH END LUXURY CARS, YES THE ONES THAT START WITH F, P, J AND M....FOR MY MONEY THIS IS AS GOOD, AS ANY OF THOSE...AND PRICE WORKS FOR ME, EVEN THOUGH, I DID PAY THE BIG DEALER MARK-UP...BUT WHAT THE HECK, TO BE THE FIRST ONE ON THE BLOCK IS ALL WORTH IT, AND IT BEING THE METALIC RED, IT EVEN LOOKS FAST...LOVE IT!

Head And Shoulders Above Previous Model

I owned a 1999 Mustang GT convertible. It was the most fun car I have ever owned. Until now. The 2005 is ten times better in virtually every aspect I can think of: style, performance, comfort, ride. While I've only got 1100 miles on this car, I absolutely love it! Differences between the 1999 and 2005 are as follows: Power - I am having to learn how to drive slowly, so as not to get ticketed. Build - there was a decent amount of torsion in the 1999 convertibles body. The 2005 is solid. It feels like driving a hardtop. Head-turning ability: off the scale! Handling - like a dream. The rear axle is solidly planted pretty much all the time.

I have been waiting for this moment ALL MY LIFE. The new design is better than I thought it would be and the power and feel is SO sweet! It is truly the talk of the town. The Mustang will ALWAYS be a classic and I think people will be talking about this model for years to come. The back seats have ample room for adults and are surprisingly comfortable. The sound system is not the best, but can be personally upgraded to suit.

Not my old Mustang

Just traded in a 2000 Mustang convertible for a new V6 convertible with 5-speed automatic. and several accessory packages. WOW, what a difference. This actually drives and handles well; no slop anymore. Looks lean and I like the mineral color. Superior inside room. Mustang is BACK! This is my 6th Mustang convertible and by far the best. Drives as nice as my 2-year Mazda6 V6 with 5-speed stick.

Made M3 owner Jealous!

This is my third GT convertible, not counting my wife's. They've gotten a little better each change up to this one - it's a major upgrade. The build quality, interior, comfort, interior noise, stereo, shifting, clutch, steering, handling, power, function, character and overall fun level are on par with anything for twice (thrice?) the price. The coup de gras was a coworker with an M3 saying he was jealous! And, if he offered a trade, I wouldn't take it! There is no nav option - wouldn't fit the character of the car anyway - but every creature comfort is there. Press on the throttle, or take a turn off faster then you should and you get to what makes this car great to own and drive.

After a four month wait I got my 'Stang. Have not had one in 20 years and what a car! I drive semi-performance autos and this Mustang GT blows them away. I am used to twice the price tag and I'd give the others away to keep this car. My Dad was with me to take delivery. He ordered the brand new '64 Mustang and waited over 4 months for his back in the day. He also worked as a Ford product specialist (trainer) for some time and has many track days under instruction. I let him drive back :-).

Wow. This car pulled me out of my Mopar's for the first time in my life (age 41). I have not liked Ford car designs for years now. Nothing excited me like this car (in this price range). I have the manual and the shifting is very smooth. For 300 hp I think the acceleration is poor but the sound is awesome. The sound is why I got the V8 over the V6. The handling is very "secure". The driving outputs match the inputs very well. The retro dash with MyColor is a great mix of new and old. I feel the 500 radio is more than enough for someone my age. Great convertible top seal so far. Low wind noise. Mentioned before on this site, this car sure does get looks! Screaming Yellow.

Great car. Use to own a '69 fastback and hated the designs of the Mustang ever since - until now. This year's model is the best since then. It has classic styling, awesome performance and the best thing about it is that it is completely re-tooled. Which means it is not related to any of the 71-04 models. It gets looks wherever I drive it from all age groups. It has brought back my enthusiasm for the Mustang again. I would recommend this car to anyone.

I used to own a '69 Mustang Fastback back in 1980. Of course I probably spent more time under the hood than driving it but I honestly thought that the styling of that particular year and model Mustang was bar far the best ever. This year's design is reminiscent of the '69 design and delivers beautiful lines with the styling that evokes the same feelings I had about my '69. It is fast, comfortable and as an added plus handles like a true 2005 sports car. I have a fully loaded '05 Yellow GT convertible and I love it. It draws attention wherever I go. I truly believe that Ford has created another classic with this new Mustang.

An e-ticket ride. The GT 300 hp engine is a rocket ship on wheels. I've had 4 Mustangs, my favorite until now was a red 3511972 Mach 1. This car is superior in every way in acceleration and handling, although Mustangs always do best when traveling in a straight line. Forget the back seats, this is a two person car. Nice leather finished seats are comfortable.
