Dark Highland Green was used exclusively by Ford on the 2001 Mustang "Bullitt" Special Edition. Ford has used DHG on trucks, but never yet on another car. I also have that stripepainter on my computer, and I've seen the DHG color in there. Neither the Ford site for Canada or the US lists DHG as a current color. I bought a red 2000 V6 Mustang convertible with 42,000 miles for $11,000 after having spent a miserable month in a 2006 Toyota Solara SLE convertible with all options. Too bad the F Bodies bowed out in 2002. That said.... The GTO is a far superior riding car with a much better build quality and interior then the Camaro ever had. GTO is way more luxury then Camaro. Not to mention the GTO actually has a usable backseat then can fit full grown adults, LOL! Try that in a Camaro, knees in the seats. This is why the GTO costs more. Too bad GM ... Read More...

I purchased a 2001 Bullitt a COLLECTOR CAR as FORD sold it. I ended up paying about 4K over msrp due to the limited available so I thought. I was orginally told by the local dealers that no more than 2500 would be sold which ended up more around 6500. And within in weeks the veh was making regular trips to Ford. 17K for a 2001 GT ragtop is indeed a good deal if the miles are low...as for what to look for, nothing much to worry about with the now previous-gen Mustang at that point. As for wind/engine noise, it's not really bad on my 2002; so I imagine it must be even quieter on the new model. In my car, once you shift into 5th on the higway, the engine noise drops to about "normal" ... Read More...

I got the FRPP catback installed for $60 at the local Meineke. The dealer quoted me $200 (yeah, right), a local Mustang shop wanted $140 (mostly because they told me they weld, not bolt it on) and the local Midas wouldn't even quote me a price until I brought the catback in and left the car for a day. Meineke did it in 1/2 hour. It bolts right in (a direct fit part). BTW ... Read More...
