    hello there, i own a 2001 ford mustang v6 automatic. i have a problem when driving, and the gear 2 shifts to gear 3, it only shifts at 2200 rpm, which makes the car slow when going up. why is the gear 2 shifting so quickly, it should be on 3000 or 3 500 rpm...??

    my 2001 is doing the same thing took it to ford dealership and they said its my fuel pump sensor, drove it sixty miles and it started doing that again and now its so bad that it completly shuts off i have to let it sit and then it gives me another thirty miles before doing it again. can anyone please shine a light to my problem??

    FYI - Ford and SVT produced less than 27k Mustang Cobras in the 4 model years 2001 thru 2004 (thats less than 6700 units per year). So I guess these cars were also "Limited Production".     I have a 2001 V-6 that is starting to idle at 2,200 rpms. It will go down to a more nomal rpm after some time and then idle fast again. I took to a very good mechanic and he said that he did not know what to do to fix it. He recommended that we take it to a Ford dealership for repair.

    Dark Highland Green was used exclusively by Ford on the 2001 Mustang "Bullitt" Special Edition. Ford has used DHG on trucks, but never yet on another car.
