Did you find out how to fix this? I am having the same problems on a 1995, i've narrowed it down to the green wire off the top of the altenator, but dont know where it leads too??? Any help?

Go to overstock.com, click on cars, then type in your zip code, make and model and you should get a good deal on a 2011 Mustang. 2011 2dr Coupe Premium is $29905 for Chicago area and you get 412 HP and 390 Torque, the extra $2000 obo is worth the extra 112 HP, or get the 2011 V6 with 305 HP and 280 Torque for $23605, plus tax, dest and so ... Well I see one problem in your equation right off---you can't charge a battery by running it to another car with jumper cables for 20 minutes. Not even close. Not even close to close. So you weren't diagnosing things using a "good" battery. So why don't you fully charge (slow charge) the battery overnight and then see how the car's computer likes that.
hello i own a 00 base mustang with the v6 5 speed 3.8 yada yada yada ok i can not get the alt to charge had it tested and it test good battery still runs down while driving cant even run car 20 minutes off a twenty minute jump charge mean hooking jump cables up letting boost car run for 20 minutes then starting and driving. ok so yesterday i bought ... WOW - I like your choice of colors. I'd like a white/blue or a blue/white combo. My V-6 is a 3.8. The 2000 brochure states the V-6 only puts out 190 HP. I find that a little hard to believe. The exhaust tone is pretty good - I think it sounds HOT going down the road! Sorry your wife can't drive a stick. I drove a stick all my life (I ... Read More
I bought a 2003 Ford Mustang 3.8L v6 about 2 years ago and the car has had this ticking noise in the engine ever since I have bought it. The TSB was dated November '05 and I bought my car in December '05. I should have been informed that there was a problem with the tops. I don't think that you would want to be sold a pacemaker with known problems. The repairs will cost 1/10 th of the price of the car new and 1/3 of the value of the car now. That is a significant defect. You are ... Read More
The problem with mine was the modulator, that is the black box that the plug wires go into. I replaced that and haven't had a problem since. Hope this is all that is wrong with yours, but with the spitting and spuddering it could be the fuel pump. Not sure. Hope this helps.
I've just read your message and I wonder if you were able to solve this problem. I bought a 2000 V6 Mustang brand new, a present for my daughter's high school graduation. On a car of that age, it is really hard to say w/o seeing it. Pluses: Vert Minus: 1983 and a V-6 If the paint still "pops" and the interior is clean, you might get $2000. Otherwise, less. Maybe $2500 tops, but I would not be surprised if it got $1500. As a comparison....a super-clean 91 GT Vert with lower miles might get $8k. Anyone else have any thoughts?
$2000 is REALLY cheap even for a 100,000 mile V-6 car. Makes we wonder a bit on the condition it is in. Naturally, everyone has their own price point and if he is young, may not have much of a budget. It also depends on the intended purpose. If he is looking to biuld a tack car or a drag car in the future, then high-milage sixers are a GREAT platform ... Read More

Sorry, I'm afraid not. :( That midyear package is properly known as the "Spring Feature edition"...to which I referred earlier. This special edition was for the GT only and, with the exception of the 17" wheels (standard at the time was 16"), was entirely cosmetic. There were no performance upgrades. The hood and side scoops were the ones used on the 1999 35th Anniversary edition. I think Ford made around 3000 ... Read More

Sorry for any letdown, but not a special model. There's an '05 GT-R Mustang concept from Ford, but it's not a production model. As for the 281 stickers, Ford hasn't used cubic inch designations on Mustangs since the 302 became the 5.0 in 1979. So another aftermarket bit. As you surmise, a dealer might have applied them. If you like them, by all means keep them (the 281 lettering is a ... Read More

I do believe you have the wrong car. The one you're thinking of is the Pinto. Back in '76 or thereabouts Mother Earth News did an expose on the Pinto.
