The 2012 Fusion is an excellent family sedan and deserves serious consideration.
It is roomy & comfortable to drive.
We found the 4-cylinder engine to be a bit gutless on freeway entry ramps which is why we decided on buying one with the 3.0L V6.
It accelerates far better than the 2.5L I-4.
This is important for us since it will occasionally carry 5-people in it.
The soft touch interior pieces are nice.
The cabin is well insulated from road noise.
The sun roof is great but it may be compromising for taller folk.
SYNC is awesome as is the Sony 12-speaker sound system.
The blindspot mirrors are a very useful and there's plenty of rear seat room for our 3-kids.

There's hands free phone use, turn by turn navigation, search for businesses, traffic conditions, manage music on an iPod or USB and more!
The monochrome package looks great too.
We like it much better than the big chrome grill.
The handling is great for a family sedan & the 3.0L V6 is more than enough for the average driver though true car enthusiasts should opt. for the Fusion Sport with the 3.5L V6.
Large trunk opening & spacious trunk.
The Select Shift is nice, but I think they could've done better than a little switch button on the shifter.
The electric power assist steering offers plenty of feedback & is very well done in my opinon.
While I feel the brakes are adequate, I think they could be better and offer better brake feel as well.
It could also use a more engaging interface for the Select Shift.
Also, if Hyundai can offer a a 5yr/60,000mi. bumber-to-bumper warranty and a 10yr/100,000mi. powertrain warranty, why can't Ford?
Do they feel their products aren't as good as a Hyundai?
Small gripes, as we love the car overall which is why we chose it over a Hyundai Sonata.
