2010 Ford Fusion I-4 SEL 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

Review

Swore off buying new cars and went 20 years between them. Ford Fusion had the right combination of options and quality! Those added to the unbeatable price pushed me over the edge. I like the interior, exterior and the gas mileage is great. Super quiet and smooth ride. Ford nailed it with the 2010 Fusion.

Favorite Features

Moon and tune plus BLIS and backup assist. Those coupled with a nice interior and quick responding 6 cyl with a 6 speed transmission.

Suggested Improvements

A/C and fan controls are a little to low but manageable.

Review

New Ford Fusion sport. Great car drives like a dream, has handling and comfort. The leather interior is awesome in black and blue two tone. The Sony 12 speaker 300watt stereo rocks with the moon and tune package and yes not to forget the 3.5 V6 is a a blast. I drove Camry, Accord, Mazda6s, Scion tc and last VW Jetta. The Fusion sport was the right looks in and out, best quality fit and finish and plus 263 horses on regular gas what a bonus. Go out and drive the sport bet yell take it home.

Favorite Features

The sport blue color and blue and black interior, the Drivers seat comfort, sync moon and tune package great eng and shift manual mode transmission and 18" wheel and tires.

Suggested Improvements

A little better fuel economy, getting 19.8mpg around town with 700 miles on car now and as many have said the center arm rest doesn't go forward enough

Review

I have a 2010 fusion and having problems with starting.I had to the dealer at 500 miles and they couldnt find what the problem was. It happened a few times more so the dealer has it as we speak. The problem i had was it would crank but not turn over till the third try. They finally did research on it and said it had to do with the Ground strap. Also when i received the car it was having trouble w/the transmission to find out it was 3 quarts low of fluid! Other then that it rides nice but had it to the dealer twice and i only have 1500 miles on it what is going to happen in my future!

Favorite Features

heated seats, backup system, ease of controls on steering wheel

Suggested Improvements

dash controls are not the greatest as far as where they are located, back window dash is very high

Review

This is the worst new car I've ever bought. After only 1000 miles, I have more defects than other cars having >100K miles. I am appalled this car ever made it off the line. Trunk leaks, bad window regulator, dash and door rattles, failed side sensors, loose sun visor, all before the first trip to the dealer. Why buy this car?

Favorite Features

Acceleration, handling, poise

Suggested Improvements

Use better quality plastic, better built parts, better assembly, better construction, better materials.

2010 Ford Fusion I-4 SEL 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

Review

We checked several other possibilities, but kept coming back to the Fusion. We have found that it is very comfortable, it handles well and amongst other things the 2.5 engine has more than adequate power both around town and on the road. It is also a fun car to drive. For us it was an excellent choice!

Favorite Features

The charcoal interior against the Brilliant Silver exterior adds a special touch to the overall appearance. Sync, the Sony Sound system and the other options we chose are also a plus.

Suggested Improvements

As with others I find the buttons on the console a little hard to see while driving. I guess, however, that soon I will know where everything is located so this may not be a serious problem.

2010 Ford Fusion SPORT 4dr Sedan AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

I've had it for almost 3 months now and it's still fun to drive. Instant power and handling response is awesome. Previously been driving a 4 cylinder 2.4 liter PT Cruiser but this time I wanted something with more power, at least a V6 engine. I was thinking of Lexus IS350 this time but that costs considerably more. I buy my vehicles through military car sales so I had a limited choices in what I can buy. Luckily they had one blue Ford Fusion Sport in stock. At first I was skeptical about the color but the color grows on you more and more. I am totally satisfied with my 2010 Ford Fusion Sport purchase. I think this car definitely has value. I no longer wish for the other car.

Favorite Features

Sync, park assist, spacious trunk space.

Suggested Improvements

The head light switch is located too low.

Review

Test-drove several brands but chose Fusion as best of breed, excellent buy for price. Good power altho gearing is too widely spaced. Accelerator and brakes are sensitive & take some getting used to, to avoid jerky starts/stops. Very quiet ride, some tire noise on certain surfaces.

Favorite Features

Quiet ride, great brakes, comfortable seating front/back, good trunk room, fabulous stereo. Base model had all features we wanted w/no need for options.

Suggested Improvements

Bluetooth spkrphone requires shouting. Headrests VERY uncomfortable. Steering overboosted; vague compared to our previous Fords. Too many blind spots!

2010 Ford Fusion SPORT 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

Purchased this car in the nick of time for my trip tp Stowe, VT. The trunk was adequate for myself and my fiance and her penchant for bringing the kitchen sink. The car is attractive and sporty, yet it has a very European feel and appearance. The engine is responsive and quick. The interior is comforatable and stylish, but some of the weather stripping and trim bezels could be better-attached. Minor issues at worst. The SYNC system is great, but the voice which assists could benefit from some lessons in listening as she is often enough wrong. Also, there is too much instruction offered by the voice. Overall, the car has handled the Vermont mountains well with no issues.

Favorite Features

The SYNC system is great. I like that it comes with 3 years of turn-by-turn for free. The leather is much nicer than that in the SEL model. The display is easy to get used to. The sound system is pretty good, and I like that it has a DSP function.

Suggested Improvements

The SONY audio system would benefit from a real subwoofer. I would like to see HID headlamps in a car built for performance. Also, LED tail lamps would be a nice touch.

Review

Had a Ford 18 years ago in high school. Since then not very excited about the line up. My buddy who works for Ford said "just get in to one" I test drove the Fusion Sport and was so impressed I purchased it. The only negative was the Eagle RSA tires. You give the fusion some gas and the tires squack instead of grab. I immediately replaced them with my favorite tire Michelin Pilots. Climate control buttons could be angled better. Fun car pretty good gas mileage (27 HWY, 18 city so far). Definitely a car to consider.

Favorite Features

Nav, Radar, Acceleration

Suggested Improvements

Michelin Tires, Climate Controls on the steering wheel and more ergonomically correct.

Review

SEL, 302A, 2.5 I4, Nav, Remote Start, Smokestone, Med Light Stone. Seat are very comfortable. Rear seat room is a little tight with the frnt seat back. We get a 33-36 MPG Hyw. Very quite car. No wind or engine noise. Very little road/tire noise. Requested a brochure and we got an additional $750. rebate from Ford. We purchased the car at invoice since it was lower than X-plan price. The 2010 Fusion SEL may be the best mid size on the market!! Outstanding value!!!!

Favorite Features

Nav and Sync are outstanding features. I will not buy another car with out them. The weather maps, weather forecast, sports info, gas prices (w/directions), 911 assist, BLIS, rear view camera are a must have and a lot of fun.

Suggested Improvements

Sony sound system is "so-so". Fog lights are worthless. They may need adjustment. HID lights should be included in the 302A option package.
