Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan New Owner Reports
2 months, 4200 miles later
Now is the time for me to post about my new Fusion Sport. I traded up to it from a Camry Hybrid, and other than the Smart key and 34 MPG, I sure do NOT miss the Camry. This Fusion is everything I have been wanting in a car for a long time now. Back in about 1995 or so I bought a 1992 Crown Victoria, with the High Performance Package. It was a great car, got 21 MPG no matter how I ... Read More...

Fusion Hybrid vs Camry Hybrid from a Hybrid driver
Between the 2007 Prius and 2009 Camry I have 54000 miles driving experience behind the wheel of a Hybrid, and get darn good mileage, up to 65 MPG highway on the Prius, so this review is a purely Hybrid based analysis, with some detail on the actual car. My current car is a 2009 Camry Hybrid, 32000 miles in 16 months. My previous was a 2007 Prius, 24000 miles in 10 months. ... Read More...

Re: 2010 Prius vs Ford Fusion Hybrid [wpwoodjr]
Nice review, I could not agree more. I owned a 2007 Prius for 10 months and 24,000 miles. Spot on with everything you mentioned, with the exception of the center console, I guess that was one of the major redesigns, the 2007 - 09 models had an open front floor area, which gave it a sense of more room than it actually had. Materials not only looked cheap, they are cheap, ... Read More...
Manuals in midsize cars
They currently still cost less. They don't necessarily use less fuel anymore and when they do the difference may be negligable...at least they way they configure them on actual (midsize) cars. Rewarding driving experience depends on the driver, for most the manual is just an annoyance. It is no longer certain to be quicker, as evidenced by the recent comparison ... Read More...
Re: 2010 Sport [carqna]
Just a bit of (probably useless to you) anecdotal evidence, but my parents who have an '08 Taurus talk about the engine in the Taurus all the time (only Sync is talked about more); the smooth torque and the seamless transmission. Given, they have less than 15,000 miles on the car, which they bought last June, but haven't had any recalls or TSB performed on the car... ... Read More...
Comparison of 2007 models
Had the opportunity to test drive a few cars yesterday with my girlfriend. Drove a Ford Fusion SE I4 5AT, Moonroof and 6CD and Pontiac G6 GT V6 4AT, Moonroof, 6CD. I must say, I had forgotten just how good the Fusion is. We drove it first, and it blew me away relative to the Pontiac. The G6 had good power, but I'd take the Fusion, considering they were the same price. The ... Read More...

Re: enough talk [bigt]
I did notice that you have to be a little extra careful when driving where there are people walking around. They do not hear you coming and a couple almost walked in front of me. I think they eventually are going to have to add some sort of sound or something. I can verify that the air conditioner does run in EV mode. I was sort of surprised that almost all acceleration ... Re: 2010 [kevin512]
Kevin512 I went to two dealers today. Freeway Ford quoted for a Sport Blue Metallic, SEL, FWD, 6 speed auto, Moon & Tune and remote start, $24300.98. Apple Valley Ford matched those numbers. I didn't get in trade what I was hoping for my 2007 Freestyle with 14200 miles but I like the price for the Fusion. One salesman took me to the reps house to see a fully loaded Sport. ...
