Edmunds TCO

Don't trust it. I own a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6 and have had no repair costs, my maintenance costs have not come close to what Edmunds says, I also paid no interest on my loans for this automobile. My insurance is not even close to what Edmunds says also. I know it is supposed to be some kind of "average" Beings I belong to 3 Fusion boards across the internet. I posted these ... Read More...

Re: Fusion vs Milan [lilengineerboy]

Nice history there. I continue to wonder why do Ford and others think the "world car" idea is going to work now, when it has not before? I don't know about the current version, but in 2006 when I test drove them I thought there were some differences in the ride felt and steering between the Fusion and Milan. I also felt the seats felt a bit different from each other. A ... Read More...

Re: Choice [cannon3]

We have some friends who's son (26 years of age) chose a 2010 Ford Fusion, 4cyl manual gear box SE version over a Volkswagon Jetta. He knew I had a 2006 and wanted to compare and talk about them. I asked him why he chose a Ford over a Volkswagon product? His first comments were road feel and the way the Fusion drove. Second was styling. My personal thoughts were, could ... Read More...

Re: City Vs Highway in a Hybrid [acdii]

One other thing to consider, Resale value!!! You will make up the difference between a lower class I4 model vs the Hybrid, sine the Hybrid holds its value far more than the non Hybrid. I flipped my Prius and made money I have a friend that is a Toyota dealer that has 7 used Prius' on his lot that he owns for more then he can retail them for because the value on used Prius' ... Ford Fusion Prices Paid and Buying Experience

2010 SE

I just bought a 2010 SE today with the 201A package (Sync, spoiler). It was a 6-speed. MSRP was $22,790 with destination included. After tax, title, fees, and a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 100k miles 4x4 V8 trade, the price came to $18,000 with 0% for 36 months. It could've probably been driven a bit lower, but I was still happy with it. This car drives like a dream ... Read More...

2010 Fusion V6's 0-60

2010 3.0 V6 240Hp 222 Torque 7.9 sec 3.5 V6 263Hp 249 Torque 7.0 sec 2006 3.0 V6 221hp 205 Torque 7.5-8 sec depending on who did the test drive How is the newer model with more power and torque slower than the old one in the 3.0 and the 3.5 cant even crack the 6's with 263Hp. A 08 Malibu V6 with 252Hp and weighs more can hit 0-60 in 6.6. Ford has to be underestimating the numbers. ... Read More...

and its been proven for 5 years now, much of it in NYC taxi cab usage, and many among consumers I didn't know the Escape Hybrid had been out that long. I thought it came out after the Camry Hybrid which came out in May 2006 (I had #5xx) Read More...

Re: Say it isn't so! [aviboy97]

The 2006 Fusion was a nice start but was done well before the current leadership got on board. The 2010 Fusion is an example of what the current Ford team can do when given the right incentives and management support. Give Ford credit for not waiting for a new platform to make huge changes: New IP and center stack Manumatic shifting 6 speed auto and manuals across ... Read More...

"Unlike the four-wheel-drive systems found on many trucks and SUVs, Fusion’s all-wheel-drive system has been tuned with an emphasis toward performance while still offering confident, all-weather driving. By constantly monitoring and predicting traction, the system seamlessly delivers torque to all four wheels, even before wheel slippage occurs. ... Read More...
