I owned a Ford Focus in 2002 and wasn't that fond of the car. Since then I had all types of performance cars - Nissan 350z, Mustang GT and Charger R/T. I recently traded in the Charger for the Focus SES 4-door and am pleasantly surprised with the engineering. Ford has come a long way with their quality and "WOW factor." We looked at several Japaneses and Korean compacts for fuel efficiency and none compare
Leather interior, Microsoft Sync System, Ambient Lighting, and heads up display on the dash, trunk space, roominess in the driver seat - I'm 6'2" tall and I fit in the Focus better than my 08 Mustang GT. The seat belts are fine. Don't know why so many are having problems with them.
Drum brakes on the rear - even in the SEL and SES models; No power seats; no option for in-dash navigation. Other than that, definitely one of the best cars I've ever owned.
