Second transmission problem for my 2007 Focus

I have a 2007 ford focus with 48,000 miles that we bought about four months ago. As my wife and I were on our way to play a game of golf which is 70 miles away, the car started to miss gears and rev up high with no gear then clunk into a lower gear. Update on my Focus.Still enjoy driving the car, but im extremely disappointed with the problems that have occured. I will list the dealer stated repairs and you judge for yourself. I bought a 2005 Ford Focus hatchback in May 2008 to replace my gas guzzler of an SUV. I loved the car, it had power, pep and looked great. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY A FORD FOCUS.....................they have trouble with the TRANSMISSIONS...............I had 38 thousand miles and took it to a Dealer as the engine light came on and the car was jerking they said it was a selenoid replaced it to the tuneof $500.00+ and it did the same thing now they say it is the transmission.........................Just ... Not only is there no filter there is no means to install one as in the earlier model years. In it's place there is a plastic box with a wire screen glued into place. Is there any way to back date this on my car? All I need is a part#. I have the ambition and the need for it's installation. Ford says no. There are people out there who still want to buy American and will choose the Focus over those others. Have you sat in one recently? The quality is far better than the 2007.....To make it a 5,000 off car you have to go into HOLDBACK to do it....that is not the first option. HB on a Focus is in the 550's. It can happen if Ford tosses more rebates... they won't anymore. I Read More...
