Re: European Focus for 2010. [basiliskst]
"The refresh in 2005 still looks like the original Focus. People pay for fresh styling." But the new C-1 wide-body (That's right, over 6-ft wide, it's even wider than the Lexus LS430!) Focus MkII is actually less handsome looking than our unique '05-07 face-lift Focus MkI. The MkII may be quieter & have slightly better ride & handling, but not the steering feel ... Read More...
Re: European Focus for 2010. [comp386]
Mschmal also makes the point that excellence does not necessarily mean the Ford of Europe chassis and that styling both interior and exterior are strikes against the current model. On all of that I agree. The refresh in 2005 still looks like the original Focus. People pay for fresh styling. And the 2005-2007 dash styling is actually worse than the original in ... Read More...
Ford Focus Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Re: 2007 SES w/options [rasldasl]
Thanks. Went on the ford partnership program page and got the info. Having second thoughts about purchasing the vehicle, though, after reading about it in the consumer reports magazine. The reviews were accurate when it said the ford focus is a fun ride as I've experienced when I test drove the vehicle. But, it said it's fuel economy isn't something to boast about. ... Read More...
Re: Ford salesman says "can't haggle on employee price [lost]
I'm looking at an ad on the 2007 Ford Focus with lots of rebates and markdowns on it. The net price is $8995. Called the dealership and the salesperson said it's for a base model only with manual transmition. I'm looking for one with an automatic transmition and the salesperson said that I would have to pay more for it. I felt that the ad was deceiving because it didn't ... Read More...
Re: 2005 Focus Base Model [rwhaugen]
I'm suspicious about the same sales pitch, too! I'm looking at an ad about the 2007 Ford Focus on sale with lots of rebates and markdowns on it. The net price is $8995. It didn't indicate whether the vehicles had manual or automatic transmitions. Being a first-time carbuyer, I assumed the price were for all the models regardless if it were manual or automatic. Then ... Read More...
Re: Ford stopping production of Focus wagon in December [dan5678]
Even though I complained about the lack of rear headrests and side curtain airbags, I got a 2007 Focus Wagon SES auto. It's only got 380 miles on it so far so gas mileage is unknown. I have driven only small 4cyl cars since 1987, mostly Volkswagens except a '95 Saturn SW2 and a '04 Corolla, and this Focus has a better ride/handling compromise than any of them. I am a longtime ... Re: Ford stopping production of Focus wagon in December [jeffdavis]
I also have about 5000 miles now on my 2007 Focus Wagon. I was torn between the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and the Focus. I knew that this is the last year for the present Corolla and didnt want an obsolete car that fast. Plus side air bags were impossible to find in my area. The Honda was a good bit nicer than the Focus to me. But the dealer wouldnt budge very much, and ... Read More...
Re: help with lease on a 2007 Focus wagon [fordwagon67]
Hi fordwagon67. It's possible that this vehicle's lease program changed as well. Its program varies depending upon how long you lease if for. For now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease. Let me know if you want a different term. Ford Credit's current base lease rate for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Focus Wagon is 3.5%. Is this in line with what you ... Read More...
Ford Focus: MPG-Real World Numbers
Re: 2005 Ford Focus Sedan [comp386]
I'm on the 2nd tank for a 2007 sedan with a 5-speed. Roughly 50/50 driving and I've averaged 32 and 32.5 mpg so far. My driving is usually about 80% highway and after more miles, I'm hoping to see around 35 mpg based on my past two Fords with Duratec engines. Read More...
Ford stopping production of Focus wagon in December
Ford will stop taking orders for the Focus wagon on November 20th, 2006, and production of the 2007 Focus wagon will stop by the end of December 2006. There will be no 2008 Focus wagon, only sedans & hatchbacks. I had been hearing this for a while, and now it is true, straight off the Ford website. Better order or buy one soon. Ford dropped them because the wagons are ... Read More...
