Like many others I too had the same experience with a Ford Focus transmission. In my case, it was my girlfriend's 2006 Focus ZXW station wagon. • 2006 Focus low-beam headlight failure

    Written by: benb3 on Jul 26, 2012 6:05:43 PM

I have a 2006 Ford Focus. Both of my low-beam headlights are non-functioning. My hi-beams are fine. The focus bulbs incorporate both hi- and low-beams in the same bulb. I have swapped out both bulbs, the 20A low-beam fuse, both 10A (l & r) low-beam fuses, the 7A fuse, and the low-beam relay. None of these steps has resolved the problem. Anyone have any further suggestions? :(

Gearshift warning "chime", page 13 of the manual. Ford calls this a chime. Mine sounds like a Tom Cat with his tail caught in a screen door. Wondered what others sound like. DRL We have had daylight running lights is Canada for many years now and I believe they are a very important safety item, however, this is the first car that I have owned where the DRL come on with ... Just bought a 2006 Ford Focus ST Zx4 in infra-red. Very happy with the car. I previously owned a 2003 Focus SE in arizona beige, and it was a great car, I just wanted more power. The ST has side airbags and abs, so I was glad Ford offered those safety features. The car is pretty fast so you can keep up (or pass) daily traffic without much problem. I like ... Read More

I'm the one with the problems...yes, it affects all 2005 Ford Focus Models. There is a service bulliten for it and if you are going to be going skiing or something along those lines I would have the service bulliten applied (although it did not get rid of the problem completely it did improve the inital braking performance). After much greif, Ford just replaced it with a 2006...which exhibits the same ... Read More

I had that problem with my 2005. I also had a severe brake problem and Ford, after 5 months of me hounding them, finaly replaced it with a 2006. But anyways, there is a technical service bulliten out for that one. Mine had 4000 km when it started doing it on an intermittent basis. The garage threw on the service bulliten and it cleared it right up. I never had to ... Read More

A few months ago, I bought my first car, a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged Coup. Well, it's not my first car really, as I also have a 1972 Dodge Van. Love that 360 V8! Nevertheless, it was my first new car. The 2005 and 2006 models were the same price at that point, and no local dealers had the SS in stock; so I got it custom ordered from the ... Read More

Hello all, and thanks for such a wonderful site and forums. I am not really a Ford fan but, having lived outside the US all my life, I must say I find the International model of the 2006 Ford Focus Hatchback to be far more masculine, more sexy and a better buy than what I seem to be encountering all over the US. Is Ford implying that Americans are not descerning ... Read More

Five Star Ford here in North Richland Hills TX has told me that they are "having a sale" this weekend (yeah yeah) and all 2006 Focuses are $4000 off sticker. So I'm wondering, would that work? The cars I am looking at are various ZX4 S sedans, AC and auto, no other options, MSRP of $16020. So that's $12,020 plus tax/title/plates. The Simple Plan price accoring to Ford is $15,333 ($687 ... You can actually check inventory yourself if you have a good internet connection and a little time. THere is a Ford Direct site, you plug in 2005 or 2006 Focus and then a zip code and it shows all inventory within a certain radius. I found the Seatlle and Portland areas had 5-speed wagon inventory when I was checking earlier this year, but it is always changing. Let me know if ... Read More
