Less than a year after buying this car, the transmission died. It turns out there is a design flaw with the transmission. Way to go Ford. Regardless, the car is a piece of junk. The interior is cheap and cramped and rattles like the doors are lined with ball bearings.
None. We finally unloaded this car and there isn't a single thing about it I'm going to miss. I guess the gas mileage was ok.

Sounds like the auto trans is a common issue.
I have electric windows - front 2 work from the driver door control - back 2 do not. The back 2 work from the back seats.
Incredible amount of vibration and noise experience.
Drove a ZX3 hatchback - same noise and vibration.
4 door sedan is no better.
Sounds like I'm driving a diesel - car vibrates at idle - car shakes and rattles in different areas as the motor rpm goes up and down - sort of like harmonics.
Bought it used with 140K on it - so maybe somebody already changed out the trans, didn;t do a go job = motor vibration.
Compared to 4 cylinder Civics and Accords I've owned - this car is cheap and noisy.
Cup holders are designed by an idiot.
Lots of cheap plastic everywhere - and in the Florida heat - plastic does not last.

Wife had to buy a 2nd key.

not something you buy at the local Mart for a $1.50.
Haven't owned it for that long to get a real good feel for the car other than the immediate vibration and noise issue discovered when test driving - just made the decision to put up with it.
Not looking forward to that comment about special pricing for wheels and tires.
Gas economy is not that fantastic.
Next time I am going with a Toyota or Honda with a 1.5 or 1.6 motor.
Cannot get over 30 mpg with this car.
Fill the tank, reset the trip, and watch it go to about 300 when it just about runs out.
Thats about 30-32 mpg.
I place this car 1 or 2 steps ahead of the 1982 Izusu I-Mark diesel I had.
40mpg, shake, rattle and vibrate.
Other vehicle is a Ford Exploder - 98.
V6/auto that gets a whopping 12-14mpg.
Motor is small, a 4.0, but the weight of the truck hurts the MPG.
Door handles on these trucks are made from PLASTIC too - and break.
Ford needs to get to work on reliability (transmissions), quality (cheap plastic breakable parts everywhere), and learn how to build a 4 cylinder that idles and runs like a Honda.
I'm looking to buy another 98 Chevy Metro with a 3 cylinder - again.
Nice light little car with economy.
Had 3 of them already. They sound like tin cans - are noisy - and the engine vibrates because its a 1.0 liter THREE cylinder.
Only problem now is finding one without rust or over 200K on the clock.
