Very Nice Hot-hatch

2013 Ford Focus ST 4dr Hatchback w/EcoBoost (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6M)
I bought a Base Focus ST without any additional options. My main concern was to have bluetooth connectivity as an option which the car comes standard with.
As far as the interior is concerned, it's slightly cramped compared to rivals and does not have as much "cubby" space as other cars. This can be averted though through getting the ST2 package trim. The materials are all soft touch and feel like they are from higher quality car.
The ride and road noise are fantastic for this car. Any outside noise (including tire noise) is very muted and the ride while firm and somewhat busy, abosrbs manholes and bridge joints beautifully.
The engine is powerful and handling spot on as well!
Ride quality, Handling, quiet cabin, nice shifter and easy to drive clutch. Inside materials are soft touch and look nice. The Sound symposer feeding engine noise when you step on it is intoxicating!
Also has auto up and down windows which is a nice add on. Push button start and auto-unlock touch doors are fun to have.
Ford sync was a learning curve, but is decent once you know how to get around it.
MPG.... Now, you don't buy this kind of car for gas mileage, but it does not get anywhere near suggested EPA estimates. Be warned your avg mpg will most likely hover around 20-22 city and 28-29 highway. The sweet spot to achieve mpg numbers is about 45-55 mph.
The base speaker system is terrible. It consists of all mid bass pushed around the 200hz - 500hz range and just sounds muddy. Highs are not crisp and clear enough and there's hardly any lows. - This again is for the non-Sony sound system, as I do not have that package.
