2013 Ford Focus ST 4dr Hatchback w/EcoBoost (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6M)

Fun, Practical, Comfortable - Even after 2 fifteen hour days, I still want to get into the car just to drive it! Driving this car is addicting. The car pull the passes in 6th gear, no need to shift. It still has torque to spare so even when someone cuts you off, you can still accelerate. Just unbelievable. When taking a turn too fast in the snow, the stability system allows the back end swing out a bit. Then apply power and the car pulls strait. Too much fun. I will have to take it to a tack when I put back on the summer tires. That sums it up with this car - it's performance exceeds what you can use on the street, but it hasn't sacrificed comfort or refinement.

Best Features

I love the low low end (1500 RPM) torque. It's so good that provided you can shift quickly enough, it's easy to keep the the car getting above 30MPG. And you wan't more fun, the engine just keeps pulling all the way to red line. The handling is fantastic, almost mind reading and the ride is never jolting, even over rail road tracks and pot holes. The seats are choice, very comfortable and very supporting. My dad who is much larger than me found them comfortable too. The voice control for searching my extensive music collection really works well. Just tell it the album name, and it plays. Ambient lighting is way cool. The heater puts out warm air in less than a mile. Good Nav System.

Worst Features

I find the gearing too short, it's difficult to keep RPMs below 2000 and it runs the engine faster that needed down the highway 2800@75MPH. I'm long legged and I would like the steering wheel to come out further. It is only getting about 28.5MPG at 75MPG. (Slow it down to 65MPH and you will add 5MPG or more). The gas milage around town is lower until the car gets fully warmed up after 4 to 5 miles. (30.5MPG is still attainable by combining trips.) Sync is Slow. Sirius hard to search (but then the Sirius stations don't seem very good anyway). Sync Apps does not work so you can not control Pandora by voice. The BT phone interface does not seem to have a return last call capability.
