The PowerShift dual-clutch automatic transmission failed at 530 miles. The selling dealership (Camelback Ford in Phoenix) has no idea how to fix it - took it to another Ford dealer who said "the technicians haven't been trained on how to troubleshoot the problem, so Ford has authorized a new transmission installation. I do not want this car if the transmission failed at 530 miles - we drive long distances to Salt Lake City two or three times a month. Want my 2007 Nissan Sentra back - had no problems with that car outside of maintenance! Never buy from Camelback Ford - they're unhelpful and don't care about after-sale service. Sales Mgr tried to rip us off with added extras we didn't want!
Excellent fuel economy - 40 mpg on the open highways. Sync system is nice - but bluetooth isn't well integrated - stereo blasts after calls or when between multiple cars. Need a DARN center armrest as standard equipment.
Center armrests (front and rear!) Paint quality poor - the Lime Green paint is very thin and shows EVERY blemish. The side panels in the rear hatch area are extremely flimsy and rattles a lot. Great fuel economy, which is why we bought it. Long term reliability is very questionable - bad transmission!
