Review
Bought the truck with 76K on it. Dealer was fair, paid $19,500. The 7.3L Diesel gets 16 in town and 18 on hwy. Put new tires on it and have had no problems as yet. Pulls a 17 ft bass boat like it isn't there. Regular oil changes that I do myself for about 50 bucks. Yep, parking is a pain but it's worth it. Plan to keep the truck till the wheels fall off. If you want a truck that will haul a lot of stuff and 6 people comfortably the 1998 to 2002 F350 7.3L is good buy if you shop carefully. I plan to later install a chip, cold air intake, and 4.5 inch exhaust. That should help with better fuel mileage. Other than that I'll leave it stock. It's my first diesel and I won't go back to a gas engine!

The interior room is great. Truck handles well even with Off Road Suspension Package.

Larger standard exhaust, from 3.5" to 4.5". Optional cold air intake.

Review
After the 1st year of ownership the truck went down hill. We had 4 different major oil leaks, starter problems, front end problems, and 2 times with fuel sensor problems. We finally traded it in for a Chevy Silverado. We couldn't depend on the truck to get us safely to our destination. Many of the items were covered by warranty, but you don't get anything for loss of use and the many times we had to make arrangements for our horses when the vehicle broke down. Ford would not help us even in arbitration.

THIS IS MY SECOND F-350. FIRST ONE WAS HIT FROM BEHIND CAUSING $17,000.00 IN DAMAGE. WIFE AND GRANDBABY WERE NOT HURT AT ALL. THIS SECOND TRUCK WAS AN UPGRADE TO LARIAT. PROBABLY WOULD NOT GET LEATHER AGAIN...CLOTH WAS BETTER IN FIRST TRUCK. OVERALL THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN FLAWLESS. IN OVER 107,000 MILES IT HAS NOT FAILED TO DELIVER WHEN NEEDED. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE NEEDING A "REAL TRUCK".

MY FAVORITE FEATURE ON MY F-350 ARE THE DUAL REAR WHEELS. I JUST LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK NOT ONLY FROM THE OUTSIDE BUT LOOKING AT THEM IN THE MIRRORS.
Suggested Improvements
SOUND PROOFING FOR SURE. THE 1999 F- 350 WAS A LITTLE LOUDER THAN THE 2001. HOWEVER, THE CAB NEEDS TO BE QUIETER.

Review
This is the greatest ride ever. Spacious cavernous cabin, good on diesel fuel, engins is strong and good on pick-up. Easy to meneuver, despite the length of this truck.

Lariat version needs a automatic climate control, nav system, DVD entertainment at least as available options.....

Review
Mileage is great at 17 MPG. Very comfortable, a "man's truck" all the way! Con..... y'hafta park in the back of the lot cuz the truck is too big for the up front spaces....
Favorite Features
Dual rear wheels. I keep taking them off the front and putting them on the rear. So what! I get lots of miles out of tires that way!
Suggested Improvements
Make the driver's seat lean back more for extended naps....Horizonatal would nice!

Review
Truck does good job towing a horse trailer. Diesel engine is strong and works well. Comfort on long trips is as good as a sedan. Size means you don't park near the entrance of a business. Only complaint is little stuff and if the Japanese ever sell a heavy duty truck in America I will get it (Honda never has the problems fords do). Both door locks burned out at same time; cruise control had to be replaced; slave cylinder had to be replaced. Fortunately I look at the service requirement and cut it in half and use that mileage to take it in (Dealers recommendation to make truck last). Clearly best on market, but room for improvement is huge.

Review
The HD Fords are gorgeous trucks inside and out. The diesel engine is quite powerful and also good on gas mileage. Only problem we've had is the transmission. At 73K we are replacing ours. We've hauled a horse trailer a few times but the rest is highway miles. Other then that, the truck is awesome!

Hello All, My Ford F-350 6.8Liter 355HP V10 duelly rear wheel 172"Wheel base super crew. Is by far the best car i have ever purchased. And I have had lots of cars all types of car. but nothing and boy do I mean nothing compares to the Beast "My cars nickname". I tell you I had never smiled so much while driving i just cant stop.

Just thought I would pass along my opinions about my truck. I purchase a new truck every 2-3 years. We use them for work every day of the week. I could not be happier with mine! It honestly is the Best truck that I have owned. The irronic thing is today we purchased another truck. The hard part was deciding weather to give my 2001 F250 Turbo Diesel 4X4 Lariat to my employees or buy myself another toy. We decided on the toy. A F350 Turbo Diesel Lariat 4x4 dually. Along with keeping the 01'Personally from my experience with my trucks I would not look any further than your local ford dealer. Old Henry Ford would be proud of these trucks!!
