Thanks alot for the info. May I ask again what year your your super duty diesel is? Also if you dont mind may I print your reply and use it in my arbitration case. I need to show Ford that my '08 is not functioning properly comparing to other '08's. My husband & I just purchased a 2005 Ford F250 - drove it one day & the engine light came on. It was the coil - took it back to the dealership since it is still under warranty - they fixed it. We drove it one day & the check engine light is back on again. Has anyone has this problem over & over again? Sure hope the dealership can fix whatever it is. Read More...

Prior to the 05 Superduty, Ford had 3 truck frames. F-150, F-250/350 and F-450/550. Obviously this was expensive so for 2005, they put the F-250/350 on the F-450/550 frame with lower rated springs and axles. Hence the increase in towing capacity. Mark. Read More...

Hello everybody, I'm new here. I just found this place with a search because I wanted to ask a few questions about my new truck. Well, it's new to me anyway! It's 2005 F-250 Lariat FX4. It has the 5.4L in it with 3.73's and according to the computer it getting 9.8 mpg. Is the info screen in the dash entirely accurate? I have been told that it may take awhile but it may increase. ... As for the wheel hop, I have the same truck, and the wheel hop is very scary...especially when going over bridges or bumps when road surfaces change. It seems like the truck wants to jump off of the road...severe hopping, all four tires...almost like the shocks are not doing a thing (or doing too much). You may want to review the complaint below that I found on the NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION's website. It might be a related problem to yours. I am interested in buying a 2006 F250 SD, but won't until I find out if they fixed this problem and what it was. I will let you know if I can get to the bottom of it.
