Ever since buying this truck, i've had a blast driving it. There's nothing out there like it. Can't wait to see the new 2004 next year.

The stock 360 hp. GREAT looks.
Suggested Improvements
I've changed the supercharger to a Kenne-Bell, Headers, exhaust, and chip.It is great. Next change will be a new pulley.

Review
We have a Black 2002 Lightning and a White 2000 Lightning. Terrific if you like the non-stop attention. However, you might need to keep a stealth vehicle on the sidelines, because you can't sneak around town in these!
Favorite Features
Acceleration on the freeway on-ramps, storage room behind the seats, console in the middle is comfortable.
Suggested Improvements
We're finding that the suede interior wears out fast, especially on the driver's side. It would be an improvement to have leather on the main wear points & more suede in the middle.

Review
This is not a vehicle for luxury car lovers. It is a handful to drive on uneven roads & bumpy roads due to the wide tires and stiff suspension. On good roads, I wouldn't trade it for anything I have ever driven. High speed driving on good road is easy and makes for a enjoyable trip. If you like attention, this vehicle will get you plenty of that.

I like the looks, great visibility, and the power of this vehicle.
Suggested Improvements
Softening the suspension a bit to make the ride less harsh on bumpy roads.

Review
I'm picking up my Silver 2000 SVT Lightning in a week after spending 3 days with the truck on an 'extended' test-drive from the Jerry's Ford. This truck is amazing. Power comes on in an incredibly smooth rush, it corners flat, and the massive Goodyear tires grip the road with tenacity. What I like best is that it's wild and fun enough to be my weekend toy, yet reliable and comfortable enough to be my daily ride. What's even more amazing about a performance truck, is that insurance rates are very reasonable and gas mileage is respectable when driven with the optional soft tonneau cover (14 city/20 highway). GREAT TRUCK!!!

2000 SVT Wheels, Two-tone leather seats, Goodyear 295/45 Tires, Twin exhaust pipes.

Review
Since Ive had this truck all I want to do is drive where ever when ever. I had a Dodge Dakota R/T I thought is was fast and drove great. The Lightning is almost twice as fast and handling like a sports car. If you can afford it nobody can beat the lightning! I would take my lightning anyday over an R/T.
Favorite Features
The supercharged engine is so smooth with unbelievable torque. The smooth sleak look and the handling is awsome.
Suggested Improvements
Of course the gas mileage could be better and maybe a foot rest to lock your foot in when your pounding the pedal.

Review
I had a '93 Lightning which was an amazing truck in it's day. The new models are even more impressive. More power, more style inside and out, and handeling was barely diminshed from the cobra like earlier models. Sure it could have wood grain, more leather and better sounds, but for the price you cannot beat it. You can however beat that 2000 vette next to you on occassion.

Best vehicle for the money out there. Sporty, fast, comfy and unique.
Suggested Improvements
Lower profile cab, and more of everything else. Maybe some options for more leather, sounds ect.
