Full-size pickup sales - F-150 best selling truck, but for how much longer??
Re: F-150 best selling truck, but for how much longer?? [h20]
There is an interesting link to an audio interview at the NPR web site. An official with Consumer Reports explains why they give the 2007 Tundra a "Not Recommended" rating, along with the Camry V-6, and the Lexus GS. He says this is unusual, they usually give Toyota vehicles a "Recommended" rating. He also says it is based on surveys of ACTUAL OWNERS. So, according ... Read More...

Re: F-150 best selling truck, but for how much longer?? [b2900]
b2900 I had just the opposite experience as you. Bought my first Toyota 4x4 in 1985, really liked it. Based on my experience with my '85, I eagerly bought another in 1992, and after quite a few problems, WORSE quality than my 1985, factory recalls, and crummy dealer service I said not again this time around. Why should a vehicle get worse from 1985 to 1992? With 7 more ... Read More...

I get a big laugh every time you guys talk about your domestic trucks and how great they are,i have been building houses now for 13 years,i have seen them all, drove them all,so please, tell that crap to someone else, back in 2002 we got a brand new F250 4door 8ft bed ,we put a READIND cap on it for all the tools, about 2 months down the road the bed started to spread at the ... Ford F-Series Pickup Lease Questions
Re: Rates and how to calculate payment? [jvos]
Hi jvos. The fact that you are able to lease the F-150 that you want through Ford's X-Plan means that you are getting a good price on it. Ford Credit;s current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 F-150 SuperCab FX4 4WD with 15,000 miles per year are 3.25% and 48%, respectively. Before you start the flames, let me once again say that I've owned 2 Toyotas, 1 of which was really good (1985) and one of which was mediocre at best (1992). But at least they both had relatively beefy fully boxed frames considering they were "mini-trucks". The riveted c-channel Tundra frame is a huge step backward. Why would Toyota do that? To save on cost maybe? ... Read More...

Ford F-Series Pickup Lease Questions
Re: Looking to Lease F150 [truckfan39]
Hi Dave. I haven't seen the specific advertisement that you mentioned, but generally speaking savvy consumers who are in areas that have a decent level of competition are usually able to beat manufacturers' advertised lease payments by comparison shopping a little bit. Ford is currently running an owner loyalty promotion on the truck that you are interested ... Read More...
Re: FX4, 2007 Lease Question for Car Man [inzax]
Hi inzax. Ford Credit's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Ford F-150 Supercrew FX-4 with 10,500 miles per year are 3.0% and 51%, respectively. As you can see, Ford Credit publishes lease rates instead of money factors for the vehicles that it leases. You can convert its published lease rates into approximate money factor ... Read More...
Re: FX4 Lease Rates [8bowtie3]
Hi 8bowtie3. I don't believe that Ford Credit provides information on its lease program directly to the general public. Its current base lease rate and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2007 F-150 Super Crew FX4 with 12,000 miles per year are 1.25% and 54%, respectively. the numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are 4.25% and 49%. The numbers ... Read More...
